Felix and Lidia have a beautiful colonial home with a lovely patio. They welcomed us warmly. The room was big and comfortable. Our room had an ensuite, which was clean, the shower pressure was good, and there was hot water everytime. Felix gave us a lot of tips and recommendations. Coffee was great and breakfast was made up loads of fresh fruit and home made sweet potato chips. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip a bit short because of the coronavirus outbreak and they were very understanding and didn't charge us for the nights we didn't stay. Would stay again if we get the chance to come back to Cuba :)

We stayed at Felix & Lidia's beautiful house for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip and the last night before leaving Cuba. we had an amazing stay! the rooms were big and clean and same goes for the private bathroom in the room. the breakfast is a typical Cuban breakfast( fruits, bread, butter, marmalade, coffee, fresh fruit juice), yet if you desire or need something particular just ask and if they can they are glad to accommodate your wishes. we also had a homemade dinner that was awesome. Felix and Lidia turned out to be Incredible people! we enjoyed our long talks with Felix and Lidia about Cuban History, culture, general topics and recommendations. Felix booked us also the other casas for the rest of the trip in the different cities according to the dates we asked, and we were very pleased with our accommodations. They are such welcoming people that open their home and hearts for you that at certain point Abalidia becomes your home away from home. Thank you very much for everything!!! we will be back for sure! We stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful old house in Vedado. The owners Felix and Lidia were so helpful (even their son helped ua with reservations of one restaurant). Vonderful people and the house itself has a lot of character and charm. They helped us also with transport to the airport.

Please please please, choose this place. You will never regret this. I am still crying of joy and it's been 24 hours since I left Havana. Felix and Lidia are the most wonderful people I met, real, with huge hearts and most of all a super interesting life to share with you through their never-ending stories. I am a girl, traveling solo for the first time in my life, they made everything perfect. I felt home from the first sec. Italiano: posto meraviglioso, non scegliete nessun altra casa particular, e non potrete che ringraziare alla vostra partenza.

We stayed at Felix and Lidia's house on the last day in Havana to know better the area of Havana Vedado. The location is good if it is with this intention, if you want to get to know Old Havana the house is far away. Anyway, when we get there we were planning to watch a Cabaret show and Felix took care of everything we need.. Phone calls made and even a map he drew for us! Felix and Lidia were so friendly that we spent most of the time sharing stories and experiences on the terrace. The house was also clean and charming. With any doubt, this was the better experience we had about staying at Cuban houses.

We stayed at Felix and Lidia at the beginning of our trip in Cuba. The area is a bit outside the center but we were happy to have a little calmness after the days sightseeing. Felix and Lidia are very acculturated and it is a pleasure to discuss with them. Felix speaks good Italian, so with my little spanish and his italian was easy to conversate. They gave us very good tips that helped us during all our stay in Cuba. He gave as well very good tips of Casas in other cities and district that we could contact. The perfect place to start and plan your trip in Cuba. Lovely patio where to have breakfast or just sit and discuss with Felix and Lidia. Very good breakfast expetially the fried platanos and the homemade jam! :D

Felix and Lydia are helpful and friendly. They have been to Italy and Felix speaks Italian and gives preferences to Italians (like using the outdoor patio for breakfast). When I was there I had to ask for eggs - other places asked me. Shower pressure was very weak - don't know if they were working on the plumbing or this was typical. Also hot water was turned off most of the day and wasn't very hot. They told me they would pick me up at the airport but didn't.

Even with the reservation confirmed by e-mail a week before the trip, there was no room avaiable when we arrived. Do not trust. Incluso con la reserva confirmada por e-mail una semana antes del viaje, no había ninguna habitación disponible cuando llegamos. No confíes.

Felix and Lidia made our stay very pleasant and the breakfasts were good along with the evening meals we had thanks to Felix's son, Felix. The house is situated in Vedado, a very pleasant area next to the sea (the Malecon) and a reasonable distance from central Havana and a bit further from the old city centre (Habana Vieja). There are a couple of good restaurants nearby and if Felix suggests preparing an evening meal then I'm sure you won't be disappointed. You can walk to the old city which will take you about an hour and is certainly a culture shock but you will see both the richer and pleasanter parts and the poorer areas as well. If you do walk you may even wish to put on a face mask as the pollution caused by the old trucks and old American Chryslers is not very pleasant. So you will probably opt for a taxi for your return journey. Or walk back along the sea front, the air is fresher and you'll get some good exercise and a good night's sleep. Felix is always happy to help guests and others who stop by. He will call other "case particulars" in other towns to arrange accommodation and get you to the bus station or taxi rank if you need a long distant bus or taxi. Just one little bit of advice though and it is you need a bit a patience as things do not always happen straight away.
