Our dinner dress code in both our resort's restaurants is "resort casual". It is recommended (but not required) that gentlemen (12 years and older) wear collared shirts. Sleeveless t-shirts and hats are not permitted. Anything goes with regards to pants, shorts, skirts, jeans and footwear (flip flops, sandals, sneakers, etc. are all acceptable). At breakfast, pretty much any attire is acceptable although we do require that beach cover-up be worn over bathing suits.

A 10% service charge is added to your nightly room rate. This is paid out to our breakfast & dinner waitstaff, housekeeping department and bellmen - with the brunt of the gratuities going to the waitstaff. Our room rates are less in April and the first week in May than the last three weeks in May for several reasons - one of them being that the ocean is warmer for ocean swimming in May. Also, our beach bar and watersports center do not open for the season until around May 10th. Our pools are heated, so that's never an issue. The air temperatures in late May are typically in the upper 70's, while those in April are often in the low to mid 70's.
Hope we'll be able to welcome you to our resort in the near future!

The beach is on the small side but it is only for guests of Pompano. We did not find it over crowded at all, there were plenty of floats and chairs, towels etc...for all. I would approximate that the available chairs on the beach were 70% full most of the time and at times less than that. Honestly, with Horse Shoe and the string of world class beaches right down the road (you can grab a bus rite out front) you'll want to spend a lot of time exploring those. The beach at Pompano is great, a tad rocky on the bottom in areas but fine, but the cliffside beaches close by are the nicest I've ever seen and you will not want to leave!!!
