But the pristine white sand beaches were just steps away and the view of picture perfect turquoise waters and dreamy sunsets was right outside my balcony. I wasn’t dreaming but instead enjoying another vacation at the Marriott Stellaris in Aruba. This was our 10th time at this resort only missing last year due to Covid. The grounds, lobby & hotel rooms are kept in perfect condition and the service is a level above 10 (Taking it to 11). Don’t let Covid stop you for booking this year, we had a few restrictions like mask in the lobby and common areas but no showstoppers from fun, sand, and beautiful beaches. Special thanks to Jennifer for a smooth and easy check in, Beverly who took quick care of our request for our entire stay, Cynthia for all of my dinner reservations & Ursula for keeping our room clean and with plenty of towels. But the award for best service this year goes to the beach service for palapas. Jeremy, Javier, John, Hanel, Isobel & Naomi (Poolside) your service was outstanding and made our beach time very enjoyable. I can't wait to start dreaming again! Lastly everybody's favorite doorman Roy has retired but I here you can find him selling the catch of the day somewhere in Aruba.

This was a 3rd stay at this hotel over the last few years. We go back because it is a beautiful property and the staff are always very friendly. Unfortunately this trip wasn’t as good as our past ones. The guest rooms are just ok but can use updates. It took some time for the front desk to find us a room that we were ultimately satisfied with. We were there at an off peak time with the hotel at 50% capacity so it took longer than it should have at check in. The front desk manager did try their best but it could of been taken care of a little better. The adult pool was very quiet which was fine by us as we needed the rest but with the exception of Nathaniel and Enrique (both who we have seen on previous visits) who were very friendly and accommodating Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the bartenders and other staff. They seemed to lack much motivation but maybe we were just spoiled but our previous visits to this hotel. The umbrellas at the pool need to be upgraded as well. The la vista restaurant breakfast buffet is not anywhere close to what it used to be as it’s no longer self service yet still charge 30 pp which is way too high in my opinion for less food. Dinner at Ruth Chris was excellent and our server Luis did an excellent job. The casino was ok but playing wearing a mask limited our play because it was very uncomfortable but certainly understandable for Covid protection. It saved me from losing money so I’m fine with that. All in all the Marriott Stelaris is still a beautiful hotel property in need for improvement in certain areas but still an excellent choice.

I've been to Aruba many times. This was my first stay at Marriot. Not only was Jennyfer very helpful in booking my excursions, she gave 'locals' suggestions for new experiences. I had forgotten my Drivers License at the UTV rental... Jennyfer tracked it down and got it back to me ! Phew! I was very grateful. I even brought her an afternoon coffee. I look forward to returning to Marriot some day. Thanks Jennyfer ;-)

My wife and I stayed at the Marriott Stellaris for our honeymoon in August of 2021. We were suppose to get married in 2020, but with the pandemic we were constantly having to push back the wedding and of course our honeymoon. Marriott treated us with respect and made us feel like valued customers. They allowed us to make the reschedules 3 of them to be exact without any penalties, fees or problems. I called corporate to get the hotels email address to say thank you for being so accommodating, fully expecting a generic thank response. To my surprise we did not get a generic email, but a warm and welcoming email response from Verna the executive assistant of the hotel. She provided everything we needed to know about the covid protocols in Aruba, great food recommendations and places/activities to explore. She also noted it was our honeymoon and we were upgraded from the garden view to an ocean view room with a small gift upon arriving (I won't spoil it for anyone). She was very quick to respond to our emails and I can not thank her enough for her hospitality! The hotel itself is amazing! The lobby is clean and open, has a fantastic gelato shop, had de palm tours area to book activities, a Starbucks for a good coffee/breakfast. The hotel has many pools, but we loved the main one so much that we kept coming back to it. Speaking of swimming let me just say this hotel has the nicest beach and water out of all the hotels on the stretch of hotels on Palm Beach.... I know I walked multiple times from the RIU hotel to the Ritz Carlton (Marriott Stellaris is right next to the Ritz Carlton). We felt safe and we're able to enjoy ourselves without the stress of having our things stolen. I absolutely loved watching the sun rise and set from our balcony. But above all we cannot thank the staff that always had a smile and we're eager to help us anytime we needed something that even includes the manager of La Vista a restaurant on the property that we went multiple times for breakfast (highly recommend the western omelette). She always came to our table, shared a laugh and made sure we were taken care of. I 100% recommend staying at this hotel and visiting Aruba. Our honeymoon was amazing and when we return to Aruba we will be staying at the Marriott Stellaris.

So prior to our arrival I called 5 times. 3 times for covid questions and twice for verification. I spoke to two different ladies which stated clearly it is an all inclusive. We arrived on Thursday everything seemed good. We make reservations before going upstairs dinner for two at the restaurant at the beach. We go upstairs notice no water in the fridge which we found strange since theres a coffee machine, coffee and tea bags but no water. We arrive at atardi. We ordered the grilled octopus and the shrimp for starters, which were good. I ordered the surf and turf with a side of mash my husband seabass. His sea-bass was 45 dollars for the smallest entree he and I have ever seen. The appetizer of the octopus was bigger then his entree plate. I must say my plate was good. In all the total cost for that dinner was 200 plus dollars. The next day we went downstairs, we entered the Vista restaurant we sat down. No fresh orange juice so we went inside to get what we were going to eat they offer omelettes bagels bread cheese fruits pancakes and waffles. The fresh squeeze juices our smoothies and they give you a pinky size of it. Next thing you know once we’re done pretty much being rushed a bill it’s about $26 per person which came a total of $56 oh and let’s not forget they ask for gratuities also. We went to the front desk to ask about the surprising $200 charge and if the restaurants are free or not because we were under the impression they were an all inclusive resort. To our surprise they said but it’s not an all inclusive and that even though when we did call someone told us otherwise their service for the inconvenience but that’s not the way it is. And that that’s why they take the credit card on file for other end of our stay we have $125 credit and then the rest will be charge the credit card. I asked him well at least can we get a water in the fridge and she stated unfortunately no we don’t offer free water here. And say that we can buy water at the Starbucks which is tapwater. So I went to Starbucks thinking that it would usually be the same price around what it is in the United States which was wrong 2 cups ended up being $22. So my husband and I decided to start eating outside of the resort a.k.a. Marriott. For four course meals we were spending $120 nothing compared to what we got at Marriott.We bought our own water bottles outside beers juices and stock them in the refrigerator which cost no more than 18 bucks. Oh and if you decide that you want to buy drinks at the bar at the Marriott beware you will be spending about $118 for drinks you didn’t even order. And to top it all off on our date of leaving no one had told us that we had to set up with Lapalma a day before our departure to be picked up as per the front desk they arrived at 11:15 we were downstairs by 11:28 and they left and will not be able to pick us up so we had to pay a taxi to arrive at the airport. Please do not waste your time nor money here. Go to an all inclusive that near everything. Barcelo is amazing, hyatt, hilton are good i heard from an actual employee of marriott. This place is the last resort not near anything except walking distance from taking the bus to go to el centro etc. Also internet is not free as they say. They is mold everywhere. They do not change sheets they just fix the bed. You have to pay for the covid test 100 for the PCR. All inclusive resorts offer it free.
