We stayed in the Moxy Dec 2019. Total of 6 people so 3 different rooms. Our rooms were updated and nicely furnished. Comfy bed and beautiful scenery of the harbor from our deck. The other couples had no problem but we never did get hot water. Would let in run for a few minuets and never even got warm. The original rooms were not upgrated and were very small. Those were not what we booked online but was suppose to be ours upon arrival The manager was very kind and offered us the upgraded rooms with a bottle of wine and a couple beers. The breakfast was really good. An egg sandwhich is 2 sandwhiches, 8 pieces so you could split that. The ladies working all smiled and were helpful and kind. In the evening we would go to The Lime Lounge which we loved and enjoyed. Great music and a really fun place to go to. Felt completely safe walking in the evenings after dinner and listing to music.

The Moxy is fairly basic accommodation and is transitioning to new ownership. The room was clean enough and bright and airy. But hot water was inconsistent and limited amenities e.g. hangers. However this a trade off being so close to English Harbour and beaches. The restaurant had a good menu and very good service

I was not feeling good about it when I arrived and the complex was empty with no staff in sight (6pm on a Sunday). My taxi driver was able to reach someone on a cell number provided on the sign and someone came from the beach to let me in the room. No formal check-in process for sure - the key was in the room and I guess they trusted I was the right person! Overall had a pleasant stay and the room was clean and in a good location. I didn't see anyone else staying there (10 rooms). A few comments/tips: -$31 US fixed taxi price from the airport -$10 US taxi each way to the Shirley Heights party and BBQ which happens every Sunday - recommend -if you need taxis you can walk to Nelson's Dockyard which is next door and grab one from their taxi line -Pigeon Point beach (walking dist.) was great and convenient though it was up and down a small hill. -short walk to yacht club and a few restaurants in one direction, Nelson's in the other -could use bfast menus at the hotel (the kitchen did offer to make me some basic things ie eggs beans toast etc.) -no hair dryer in room or beach towels, or phone to reach reception (since there is no reception) -wifi password should be written on something in the room - also worth noting that the wifi signal did not reach my room but was strong in the restaurant -pillows were not comfortable (super thick and puffy but not soft idk how to explain)

We visited The Moxy Wednesday evening about 2 weeks after opening and wished we had found this restaurant earlier. We sat upstairs which was wonderfully cool with great breezes. Service very good, food excellent with some unusual choices. We had danish beef, veal and a vegetable and chicken stir fry. All were beautifully cooked and tasty. Desserts were limited but that was helpful! Strudel and tiramisu were sampled and fantastic. Good wine choices. Definitely recommend. We will visit again on our next trip to Antigua
