Me and a friend opted to stay here rather than the resorts. We are glad we did as we met lots of lovely people and was really sociable. Rooms are basic but meet the needs as we only slept in them and spent very little time in the room. Room was decorated nice and had a shower. The owners are friendly and relaxed as well as helpful in regarding the local area. We met many nice people on our stay in Antigua especially staying at the waterfront. Great views from the balcony. 👍🏼
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the waterfront inn Hotel both before and after my RYA sailing course in Antigua. The experience was fantastic with such a great location, clean and tidy with great views of the Marina. It is literally on the doorstep of everything that is happening in that part of Antigua. The owners of the hostel are so friendly and helpful being a wealth of knowledge on the area. The international mixture of guests of all ages makes the communal areas and fully equipped kitchen a hive of relaxed conversations and trip planning. With plenty of space on the elevated terrace area to find a space to work, just chill out alone using the fast internet or grab a book from the collection and lose an hour or two. I really enjoyed my stay there and look forward to my next visit. Carl…
very friendly place to be at great atmosphere the owners are there and happy to help out with recommendation and whatever you need good and tasty breakfast is served daily beautiful views and central location
For a barebones rental, this hostel is more like a hotel! My room was clean, with a private shower and fan (no AC). Only cold water available, which worked for me, and very reliable internet. The owners, run a kitchen and bar in the hostel, which are both high quality with a great view of the harbour and very affordable. The hostel is directly across from a super-yacht dock, so if you are into boat-gawking this is the spot for you. Very short walk to waterfront bars/restaurants, 15 minute walk up and over a hill to the beach. I would stay here anytime over spending thousands on a hotel. The owners are very accommodating, and responded to all my email questions in advance quite quickly as well as helping me arrange a taxi.
This hostel has to be the best place to stay in Antigua. Don't let the cheap cost of the rooms put you off, they are great value! $50 / night for two people, with a stunning view of the harbour and Dennis serving beers at the bar! You could not want for more. Breakfast is served by the lovely Jules in the morning with unlimited coffee. The Waterfront hostel is comfortable, welcoming and really clean. I loved it!
