My husband and I spent 5 days at Siboney and the experience was nothing short of wonderful. We got excellent service from the front desk staff, especially Deandra and Joyette who we constantly interacted with, the housekeeping staff and the the restaurant. The location is ideal with the beach at your doorstep and many other restaurants and other activities in the area. We will definitely be returning to Antigua and Siboney again.

We loved it here! The beach is absolutely gorgeous, the views are incredible. It’s truly a laid-back, relaxing gem of a spot. Everyone working there was kind and very sweet to our son. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a great little patio nestled in the tropical trees and plants. I did remove one star because of the cruisers. The hotel allows people from cruise ships to use the beach for the day and it can really ruin the vibe. One day the beach was packed with people from a cruise ship who were incredibly rude to the staff, left trash everywhere, and were just generally loud and obnoxious. I felt horrible for everyone working there on the days the cruisers descended because it seemed like they had to work 3x as hard and they were treated terribly. If the beach could be exclusively for guests at the hotel and residents of Antigua I think it would easily be a 5 star experience. That said, we would absolutely still return! The restaurant right on the beach (Salt Plage) has food and drinks basically all day and into the night. You can easily walk to other restaurants (or take a cab), but it was so convenient for us to have everything we needed in one spot. A great, quiet spot for a relaxing family trip.

Room Tip: I would ask which days cruise ships would be visiting and use those days to explore other parts...

First, the care taken of me as a solo guest was unparalleled. Especially by Dendra and Roselle on the front desk. All requests were met with grace and efficiency. The suite with the bedroom overlooking the sea was extremely well situated. The views and sounds of the sea in the night and day were soothing. Breakfast and beach service from Salt Plage was smooth and tasty too. The garden setting for rooms made you feel you were in a setting all to yourself. Just gorgeous

Me and my husband recently chose Siboney to get married. We had our ceremony on the beach and we could not have been happier with how it went. We had the wedding reception at Salt Plage and we all enjoyed our choices. We stayed in room 105 which is a one bedroom suite with sea views and we were very happy with all aspects of the room, especially the beautiful views of dickenson bay from our bed. We booked direct with the hotel and therefore were entitled to breakfast at Salt Plage, choices and portions were minimal but still kept us going. The beach is absolutely beautiful and there are plenty of sun loungers which are supplied for the use of guests. The pool is also lovely and quiet. We went to a small shop located near anas for some food items to keep in our fridge, other than that the nearest supermarket would require a car/taxi. There is a small essentials shop in reception for guests. The staff we encountered during our time at Siboney were all so lovely, helpful and very friendly. Also, Gwen the maid was fantastic, she did a great job and also provided some lovely decorations for our room on the wedding night. We booked a trip to Shirley Heights through reception which was a competitive price, only negative we could find here was the taxi driver. We were already aware some drivers in Antigua were a bit ruthless but we spent the whole journey there (approx 50 mins) gripping on for dear life due to the erratic driving on already poor roads. The taxi driver and his parter thought it was hilarious how scared we were and continued. The return journey was even worse, in the dark and having smoked a lot of marijuana, the taxi driver “didn’t see a corner” and nearly crashed! If you are looking for a much more relaxed, quieter resort than an all inclusive like Sandals next door then this is definitely the place for you. One final recommendation for Siboney if they are to continue hosting wedding ceremony’s/receptions would be to have a steamer for steaming the wedding dresses! Thank you to Rosella, Joycette and all the others at Siboney who made our wedding/stay so memorable and fantastic.

PROS: (1) Reception and restaurant staff are friendly and professional; (2) Great location...right off the beach; CONS: (1) Hotel placed us in a room infested with mosquitos. They got the maintenance person to spray the room but the problem persisted. We ASKED to be placed in another room. We also inquired as to whether previous guests had complained and they said it had been weeks!! So they were aware this room had a mosquito issue. We could only stay one night in the other room (which was actually a down grade from the 2 bedroom suite we booked) and then had to move to different room the next morning. When we asked to be compensated for the inconvenience of having to move TWICE. We were only compensated in regards to the downgraded room per the hotel manager Diane. Please note the online price which we booked is discounted 15%. They billed us the higher in person rate and took 25% resulting in essentially a 10% discount; (2) The 2- bedroom suite was NOT refurbished; had NO shower curtain; and questionable furniture (SEE PICS for details); (3) No shower to rinse your feet after the beach. Instead the hotel placed buckets of water near the foot of the steps leading to each suite of rooms. This is unsanitary for so many reasons. Siboney has potential but needs to work.
