We had a good time on our honeymoon. In Nov it is considered rainy season, and it really was. It rained about 6 out of the 10 days we were there. Because it was our honeymoon we didn't really...More
Just spent the week of Thanksgiving at Sandals Antigua and had a wonderful time - the food was excellent and I agree with the last rater that being all inclusive sometimes means sacrificing quality but that was not the case here. Omarie was our concierge...More

Just got back from a week at Sandals Antigua and felt compelled to write this review, especially after paying such a premium to stay at a so-called luxury resort. First things first, this resort is far from luxurious, especially if you end up staying in...More

First off- congrats on your renewal. For travel you basically need the passport. You do not need a birth certificate. You need the birth certificate to get the passport so the passport suffices. Leave that birth certificate home.
What I suggest is contact Sandals and tell them you want to renew and tell them you are undecided about beach or garden and can you pick the choice when you get there. This way you can see both locations. The gardens are beautiful as are the beach. Yo cannot go wrong with either, but if you have the chance to look and choose, you'll see for yourself which is best.
My wife and I stayed at the Caribbean Honeymoon Seaside Butler. It is close to the beach and close to the Caribbean Pool and large Mediterranean pool. It looks like you'll be staying near where we were. The sunset bluff is set back from the beach so you will not have the beach crowd noise in the AM. Plus gong in September, the resort will be less crowded than in the July/August months.
As a suggestion- if you are uncertain about accommodations, compare pricing on your room, the villa upgrade and the price of a butler Caribbean Honeymoon Seaside where I stayed. The butlers make sure you get into any restaurant you want at the time you want, they fully stock your room bar, they also reserve PRIME spots at the beach and pool so you do not have to "claim your spot". Want a spa, they arrange that too along with the watersports. I found the pricing for the butler slightly higher than the club level and well worth the difference. So check it out and compare.
Its a beautiful resort and they remodeled it so it should be even better.
Congrats again and enjoy!

Hi, we stayed in the first week of September last year. The weather was slightly influenced by Hurricane Irma in the middle of the week!! However, prior to that, it was partly cloudy most days with temperature rising to the low 30s. There is the chance of the odd shower but these are generally short and then the sun comes out once again.

Like other reviewers, I have stayed at other Sandals resorts and from personal experience have never come across large groups that make our stay uncomfortable. Sandals Antigua is bigger than most with 12 Restaurants/Snack options so should you experience large groups you can actually avoid them. Antigua is a beautiful island, the locals are super friendly and will go above and beyond to help wherever possible. Trips out around the island you can arrange yourself by booking a taxi and then letting the driver know where you want to go.
It is really worth going to the Atlantic side of the island as this gives a totally different perspective, so much so Eric Clapton has a house there!
Enjoy your stay.
