I stayed at the resort for a week with my daughter. We had a great time! The beaches are stunning and quiet. There were always sun beds available and there are trees for shade. We had a club room by the beach which had a great terrace and very comfy sun beds.. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was big and extremely modern. Some of the furniture in the room was a bit dated, but that didn’t bother me; I spent barely anytime in the room. The air conditioning was great. Breakfast was delicious , with a good variety of food. I particularly liked the freshly cooked pancakes and omelettes. Lunch is a bit repetitive, but okay. There isn’t a huge amount of choice of food in the evening, but what there was was very tasty. I’m vegetarian and always felt catered for. The drinks are excellent; the bartenders mix whatever you’ve asked for. I found all of the staff friendly, particularly in the evening. I found the resort to be in a much better state of repair than suggested in several reviews. All of the restaurant and bar furniture looked new. Everywhere was clean and well kept. True, this isn’t a 5 star hotel, but it doesn’t claim to be and I certainly couldn’t have afforded to stay there if it was! I thought that it was excellent value for money. It has a lovely atmosphere; the guests all chat to each other. I’d say it’s a good 3 and a half star hotel. The beaches are definitely 5 star! I found arriving and departing the airport pretty easy. We had our COVID test results and locator forms on our phones and that wasn’t a problem when leaving. I recommend that you take a test with you, as the one that the hotel can arrange costs 150 dollars! We bought one where you had to do a zoom call with a doctor and that was fine. The WiFi is okay but slow. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

If you are not looking for a higher end experience then this could be for you. Previous reviews spoke of broken parasols etc and this is still the case. There are about 4 in the resort so either bring your own or use the shade from the trees. Maintenance does seem to be an issue as lots of things were in need of upkeep. The club room at honeymoon cove was nice, possibly the best rooms after talking with other guests. The shower could be fabulous with a better shower head, (was quite full of limescale and better pressure needed) perhaps even two for that big space, with a nice view of the ocean. It would appear that the budget for each department just isn't there and Mario is doing the best with what he has. The watersports were 4 leaky canoes, 15 mins max due to the leaks and some very old surf boards. Again, a small investment would make a massive impact on the experience. Egbert was fantastic as well as Mario. The staff member serving the buffet breakfast items from Monday to Friday was one of the rudest people I've come across. This was noted by almost all guests. It seems that he and Denise on reception are trying their hardest to not retain custom and want the hotel to close down. Very clear they have zero customer service skills and do not want to be there. Don't expect WiFi as it was almost non existent (even in the common area). Food and drink wise, a couple of evenings the food was nice but again the budget isn't there unfortunately. Perhaps invest in a cocktail mixing class for your day bar staff on the beach. The evening barman tending to the bar by reception was very good. Nice location, could be fantastic if everyone's heart was in it and massive improvement made to all departments. Perhaps get an outsider in to help and advise on how to bring this hotel back to a good standard. If you come, hire a car so you can enjoy what the rest of the island has to offer.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the place was really nice, though there could be some structural improvement done. The room we had was clean \, airconditioned and spacious. we stayed at the bungalows by the water. The food was excellent, only thing it was not enough. I had to order double entrees just be full. Mayra and Kerryann where our servers, they where polite friendly and helpful. Mayra had my breakfast order right every time. Kerryann actually went out of her way and brought me the local beer. I was very thankful for that! Staff like them are hard find and they went the "Extra mile". Thank you for that. Errol was funny and helpful. He was our bartender/waiter and jokester. he really made us feel at home and comfortable. they are an asset to the resort. The place is amazing and the only resort with more than one beach to enjoy in the whole Island. especially since there are over 600 beaches to visit . Oh and they have a nudie beach, whoop! whoop!. Now the cons: There was this character who rented us , what must of been his personal ca, if you can call it that. Not only did the ac not work right, we had a flat tire due to the horrible conditions of the roads. If you want to rent a vehicle get it from a legitimate rental place.,. Don't fall for the this guy and surely don't rent that orange /yellow toy Honda he rents, when I asked if there was another available vehicle he tells me that it was the only one. That's when I should have known. , think he has some kind of deal with the front desk and when you ask about car rental they call this dude. He also is the cab driver too. so you now he has some kind of deal with the front desk. I had rented the car for two days but returned it the same night. he even got offended when I told him about the AC, since I'm a guest there I didn't want to be rude. But he insisted that it was a new car and that the ac was fine. I also had to pay for the flat tire. When I looked at the thread on the tires I also noted that they were well used. But he charged me $45.oo dollars yeah Dollars. I had giving him $120.000 for the two days and a permit he said that I had to have in order to drive there, scam I'm SURE. BUT IT WAS ONLY $10.00 DOLLARS. YEAH EVERYTHING IS DOLLARS. NOT Antiguan dollars. Just so that there were no hard feelings since we still had a couple of days let. I told him to keep the money and we where even, he gladly accepted. Another rip off was the $150.. dollars per quest I had to pay for my wife and I for COVID testing to get back home. they know you have no choice so that's what I paid. other resorts are charging $60.00 but you have to be a guest of the resort. as I tried to got there to save $$. one guest told me about a person off the resort that was charging $100 U.S . for the same test. Being a nurse I couldn't help to notice that when he was doing the test that the kit contained 25 tests , which during small talk with him he paid 1500 Antiguan. NOT U.S.$ you do the math, (Okay $3750, Yep!1, I'm thinking of going there next time with kits and do them my self. It will pay for the trip!!) I SMELL RIP OFF! But they know you are in a bind so they take advantage. Overall I would go back . I would not use their car rental, and hopefully this COVID issue will be a thing of the past. The people in town are courteous helpful. When I Got the flat people actually stopped to help and direct me to where I could get the tire change to the spare. Thank goodness there was a spare. Just a tip but " All ways check for the spare, you never know" All in all we had a great!! time and like I said I would go back. I would even saty there again. Hope this helps..

Very friendly staff, beautiful almost private beaches. Food ok, drinks very good, could do with a bit of attention to basic details like old furniture, timely start of services , etc. But overall great value for money when you manage the expectation. Will definitely come back 👍🏼

My experience was really good. They are compliant with Covid protocols, all staff wearing masks ect. My original room was basic but I got upgraded to a stunning beachfront bungalow. The hotel has 4 beaches, the views are breath-taking. Food overall was good Al a Carte for dinner most evenings, continental breakfast with local breakfast some days. The waiting staff and cooks were so helpful and attentive big up Eggbert and the waitresses. The ladies at the front desk were great 5* for customer service, shout out to Debbie and Denise and also the lady with lovely locs who works some evenings. All issues were resolved. I would recommend this hotel for couples and for solo travellers. It is a safe, peaceful and friendly resort. The taxi fares are extortionate all over the island so bear this in mind if visiting Antigua during the pandemic.
