We travelled with family to attend a family wedding here. Before I go any further let me make it 100% clear that the wedding itself could not be faulted. The rooms where the wedding ceremony and then the wedding breakfast took place were laid out excellently and the food was good and plentiful. A wonderful wedding and everyone thoroughly enjoyed...

A very nice old hotel, staff helpful and very nice. Clean rooms but need refurbishing as some need quite a bit of attention. Breakfast was very good, evening meal not to bad. Stroll around the nice grounds. Five minutes by car to Blackwood town centre.

We arrived at this hotel for a family wedding. On arrival there were two young members of staff sat in the area behind the reception desk so I assumed one of them was the receptionist and said hello to them both, receiving blank stares and no response in return. So I stood there in awkward silence...........After a couple of minutes...

I recently stayed at Maes Manor for a wedding and I am deeply disappointed. On arrival, the main building appeared tidy and clean, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful, but it quickly became apparent that the rooms are anything but. Fortunately my friends wedding went well, but my room had ants in it, the grouting and tiling looked like it...

Stayed overnight when attending family wedding held at the Hotel. When I arrived I had to wait at the bar more than 4 minutes to get served. My room was clean enough, but dated. Woke in the morning to find the dressing table covered in ants. The breakfast was not the best and the tea was stewed in the pot....

The hotel grounds are lovely and the building itself has quite a lot of charm. Saying that, it's not up to standard in terms of room quality or service. The room had an odd smell, the bed was old and squeeks everytime you move. The TV is ancient and all the furniture is scuffed and a bit tired. I had...
