Heard a lot of good things about this place. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and serene (if you ignore the occasional peacock noises). We booked the Mahogany Villa which had its own private pool. It was really nice and we totally loved it. Loved the privacy. The ladies who checked us in were all very nice and accommodating. Activities - We joined the sound healing at the amphitheater. Not familiar with sound healing but was down to experience it. I didn’t quite enjoy due to mosquitoes/bugs. We did the flower arrangement as well which I thought was very relaxing and meditative. I really liked that one. Food - We are not vegan so that said, we did not quite enjoy the food. Vegan pad thai was alright. Tofu sisig was not good. Why did I order mango sansrival in a vegan restaurant? What the heck was I thinking? I should have not ordered. It was edible. Breakfast buffet, though complimentary, was pretty awful. I think it would be nice to include non-vegan. albeit still healthy options to the menu given the growing popularity of this place. Caveats - Mandatory covid testing is wayyyy too expensive and is paid separately, Php 2200 or approximately USD40 per person in your party which is ludicrous given that an anti-gen test kit only costs Php600. I know it’s in a jungle setting but I just have to mention the frogs on the property. I have an aversion, borderline phobia, when it comes to frogs so the frogs or toads or bullfrogs lined up at the entrance of our villa at night freaked me out. My kids later told me that there were tiny baby frogs in the bathroom that probably got in through the side door to the shower, I shudder at the thought. I’m a bit uncertain about the wellness advise/programs that they offer. You definitely need to do your research before booking. Their VCO is very popular. In one of the videos they had in-house they touted the healing properties and recommends consuming VCO daily. Sure it’s going to increase good cholesterol but it sure will increase your bad cholesterol as well and lead to heart disease. AHA does not recommend. It’s saturated fat. It’s like eating bacon fat. Stick to VOO. With all that said, I would still recommend that you experience the place and judge for yourself. It has its pros but unfortunately, I can’t get over the frogs and the expensive covid tests (highway robbery).…
The Farm is the best place for relaxation that I’ve made it a point to go here for retreat at least 1-2 times a year since 2018. There’s no other resort I’ve been going back to so often because it uniquely and perfectly combines holistic healing with fun and recreation. The staff, facilities, food, customer service, and treatments are all superb. This place is all the more helpful for people who need to keep a healthy lifestyle or are healing themselves because they offer a lot of healthy treatments and organic meals. My trips are also made more special because of Manager Romi Roque, who is by far the best hospitality professional I’ve ever encountered and worked with. His consistency, dedication, and love for his work definitely represents what The Farm gives to its guests. Whether it’s for a retreat or a fun vacation with friends and family, The Farm is definitely a place worth visiting.…
Had a relaxing time throughout the trip. They made our anniversary extra special. Tried their flotation pod and it was a great experience, i highly recommend you try it out! Thank you for the warm welcome and accommodation The farm! Will surely visit again soon!
This place is a well hidden gem in Lipa, Batangas. If you are looking for a quiet private place to stay with healthy food options then The Farm is perfect for you. Would like to extend a special thanks to those that have made our stay extra special. They all made us feel the warm welcome. From the pleasant surprise that Ms. Hazel told us, to the tearful talks with Nurse Joey during our foot detox, to the family-like care of Ms. Nikka, to the eye and mind easing flower arrangements shared by Ms. Angel, to the funny and very accommodating gestures of Sir Bon. And to all the others that we have met - we felt our loving dad's+ presence and love through you. **The surprise? We were originally booked for a one night stay in the Banaba Executive Suite but ended up staying in the Master Villa with our own pool and very spacious area. They considered that we have our loving mother with us so that she would not have to climb any stairs (would be the case with the existing booking) or be exausted and just enjoy the place. Naiyak and na-touch kaming lahat dito promise :) You all made our stay memorable. Again, thank you for all the warmth you have shared with us :) FR: SAN JOSE FAMILY, Pateros Metro Manila (Mommy Gloria, Charm, Anna, Amie) :)…
A Rejuvenating Stay “The life of inner peace, being harmonious and without stress, is the easiest type of existence.” —Norman Vincent Peale. The place is a 3-hour drive from Manila and I can say it's worth it. Antigen Test: I felt extremely safe upon arrival at The Farm at San Benito because they still require the antigen test. As you enter its premises, they would ask you to park and get swabbed in their test area first. The test is a nose swab; you'd need to fill up some forms and wait 10 to 15 minutes for the results. Thankfully, we tested negative. :) Arrival Experience After the swab test, we drive to the entrance, where there is a lot of staff to assist. Even the security guards are there to offer to carry our stuff. They also offer valet service even if the parking area is not that far. We just had a large cage to hold, so we decided to opt for the valet service. The lobby is spacious. There are a lot of wood and earth elements since it is a wellness center. There is a huge receiving area behind the check-in counter where guests can relax while waiting. Outside, you can enjoy the view of a large pond where some swans swim by. While waiting for our room key, we noticed many people walking in groups, somehow looking like a retreat camp. The staff reiterates that walking is highly encouraged since it's a wellness facility. However, if not possible, there are available golf carts. Welcome drinks are served, and the check-in process is fast and easy. They provide an area map and a schedule of the free activities throughout the week. The staff is overall efficient and pleasant. Four people did not hesitate to carry our bags to the golf carts. They are all accommodating, even to our cats. Room Tour We booked the Banaba Deluxe. Our room is spacious enough for two adults and two pets. I love that it has a balcony even if the view is that of a forest. Once you enter, you will be fascinated with its wall sliding doors highlighting the outdoor scenery. I also love the furniture accents inside the room, as they seem locally crafted. The lights are too dim for my eyes but enough to set a relaxing mood. The smell is neutral. Airconditioning is available, but there is a wooden ceiling fan to add ventilation when needed. Lastly, I appreciate that the room is close to the reception area, around a 5-10 minute walk. Overall, we feel comfortable and satisfied. Even the cats feel at home. Cats on Staycation We can't leave the fur babies when we travel, so we always look for pet-friendly places. I find taking cats on trips easy. There is no need to put diapers on them. You only need to bring their food and litter sandbox. The sound of cars and the honking scare them, so we ensure they're out of the cage during the road trip as they find a comfortable space in the car. During the staycation, Draga & Peaches love to stay in the room. We usually get a stroller to bring them about, but unlike dogs, they don't like being outdoors. It brings them satisfaction to sniff around, play with the curtains and run carefree. It's such a joy to have them on this staycation, even if there was a choice to leave them somewhere. It's nice to cuddle and enjoy the overall new experience with them. Food The Farm offers plant-based, whole food, and vegan cuisine. The team believes that being human means being alive and living honestly through real food and plant-based eating. In-Room Dining Service There are three restaurants in The Farm: Alive, Prana and Pesce. First is Alive, which is their all-cuisine vegetarian restaurant. The second is Prana, which is their Indian vegetarian. Lastly, Pesce is their seafood restaurant. All restaurants' menus are available for in-room dining, which you need to order separately from each restaurant. We ordered shrimp pizza, vegetarian pizza, and tofu pad thai. There was no delay in placing the orders. The reception was kind enough to connect us to all the restaurants. Within 40 minutes, the orders arrived with covers, hot and fresh. We love that every dish tasted amazing. Breakfast Breakfast is served in the restaurant Alive from 7 am to 10 am. The buffet is purely vegan. It might sound restricting, but they have a wide array of choices from fruit and salad bar, cereal area, juice station, and sweet and savory buffet area. As a guest, you can choose whether to dine outside or inside. Everyone is courteous, from the receptionist, chef, and managers. The service is quick, and there are no delays. You may ask for personalized vegan dishes, and they will happily serve them to your table. It is truly a wonderful breakfast experience with a fantastic view. Pesce On our last night, we decided to have dinner in Pesce, their seafood restaurant. The pathway to the restaurant is enticing, with the walkway lighting leading to it. Upon entering, you will be amazed at the vast pool and romantic setup beside the restaurant. You can choose whether to dine outside or inside. All the staff is accommodating and lets you freely roam around to pick the perfect spot where you want to eat. We chose the best place, beside the pool, and had a great time. After two days of vegan food, our bodies crave some meat. Thankfully this restaurant serves seafood - prawns, salmon, and grouper. The dishes were delicious. I ordered the grouper with egg-fried rice, and Walter ordered salmon with black rice. Surprisingly though, what caught our palette was the caesar salad. Two days of clean food have been great. It set the mood of the vacation a lighter mood. There was no regret in spending on quality food and ambiance tonight. It's pretty challenging to get food on The Farm. No food service is available because the place is hidden, twenty minutes from the highway. Secret Garden Navigating our way into the Secret Garden, we found a nice meditation area open for the guests. There was an area to be zen with soulful music. There is even a water station for hydration. Signages are around the area reminding people to stay silent and keep their mobile phones away. The best part is the simple artificial waterfall inside the Secret Garden. It has its clear pond. Hanging out in this area was relaxing. The sound, vibe, ambiance, and serenity were everything needed to put you in the zen mode. We're grateful for secret sanctuaries like this in Metro Manila. It's the closest to a Bali-like wellness area that we can gain access to. A Farm is a place worth coming back to. Peacock One thing that is very distinct about The Farm is the presence of peacocks. There are a total of 50 peacocks roaming around this 50-hectare land, two of which are the rare white-colored ones. These creatures are elusive, but they approach you if you give them bread. For other cultural and religious practices, peacocks symbolize re-growth and rejuvenation. Domestic Geese There's a lagoon beside the lobby with domestic geese swimming in it. They are incredibly white and healthy-looking. Their beaks are bright-colored oranges, and their voices are loud. They take shade in the meadows when the sun is high up in the sky. They are pretty elusive to humans, but they do not attack. It does feel like a farm with all these animals walking around. Overall, the stay is fantastic. This place helps you to slow down and reflect in life. Thank you for the experience The Farm at San Benito.…
This is my second time to be here, and I am happy to go back and bring my family and my lolo and lola. Our family is so grateful with our stay. The place is so perfect to rejuvenate, relax and to take a quick break from the stress of the city. Our villa, The Mahogany Luxury Residences is the new villa they offer, it is perfect for big family like us. But since some of the areas are under expansion, the view from our villa is quite obstructed by the construction. But overall, I am super happy and satisfied with our stay. The food are perfect to take a detox and a healthier choice. Their staff are very accommodating and friendly with all of our needs. Highest rating to our personal Butler, Gizelle for giving us the best and perfect assistance we need all throughout our stay. I recommend to look for Gizelle and request her to be your personal Butler. Five star to her service! Over-all, our trip is perfect for our family! will definitely go back again!!…
We really enjoyed our stay in The Farm. Customet Service was exceptional! Special thanks to Louise from the who received us and made sure everything was in order for us. Everyone is very pleasant and polite, you would definitely feel at home. They truly give world class service. We went to the Acqua Bar to order shake and the lady was kind enough to personalize our drink pa. The people at Alive were so nice and they served us really good food. The singer and guitarist were also very talented. Over all I would say that The Farm at San Benito is really value for money.
It is a given that this place is beyond amazing, from the location, accommodation, amenities to food. You name it, this place is pure bliss. However, what made The Farm extra special are the people working there. From the security guards, gardeners, room attendants, servers, front desk, medical staff to management. They are truly world-class. Very proud of these group of people who show that they love being there and what they do. Hence it shows in their attitutde. Shout out to Mr. Romi Roque, Operations Manager, Dr. Radi, Lauren (Front Desk), Nicole (Server), Christian (Server), RJ (amazing valet :)), the chef who made my buckwheat pancakes (Can't remember your name) and all those people whose names escape me. Truly my heartfelt appreciation... I will be back..... Alex G.
