Wonderful place, great staff. Was a very welcome arrival after being on the trail. And they played the RWC semifinal All Blacks game. The place is equally frequented by yachties, trampers, hunters & day trippers- friendly & welcoming to all. Top notch menu & drinks list too.

We stayed here overnight as part of our walk on the Queen Charlotte Track and loved this place. One of the best accomodation we stayed in and the service by the staff was exemplary. Good food and a great atmosphere was also what made this lodge a beautiful stay. Next time we visit NZ we will plan to stay here...

Stopped by for a while, after a launch cruise, to enjoy the lunch menu. The meal was superb, with good service from the staff. I was surprised at the reasonable prices asked for, for a place that is 'out of the way'. This is somewhere that people should enjoy the experience. I was there on a sunny day, and was able...

We enjoyed our stay, it was very comfortable and peaceful. We stayed in a suite which is very new, modern, spacious and clean. The restaurant/bar is in a historic state house, the staff are very friendly. The meals were really good and the foods were fresh.

We had a great time staying at the lodge for one night and the restaurant was excellent. Highly recommended for those who would like to stay somewhere near the track. The lodge is just a very short walk from the track.

we arrived after a long hike and even though we had reserved a table for us 12 nobody knew about it. Okay, we got a table after a while but it took quite a while. Had to get our own beverages at the bar..food was okay. My opinion: even though they are kind of 'at the end of the world'...

We stayed at Furneaux Lodge as part of our Queen Charlotte walk, which to his extent makes the lodge a perfect location along the route. That said the property itself is tired and could do with some investment, this is not a cheap option along the route and would have expected a better quality of accommodation for the price paid....

Dear Opinion-noted, Thanks for posting your review. We have a programme of running repairs and upgrades here at Furneaux Lodge - two chalets are being overhauled this winter, the restaurant is receiving an update and we have been consulting with experts on a renovation for the bar. As the guardians of some pretty special buildings and history, we are always...

We ate and had a couple of drinks here after a long day walking the queen Charlotte track. The food was excellent and well priced considering the lodge is so remote. I would recommend to anyway looking for a wholesome meal after a long day.

We stayed in a self catering Chalet. Window sill in the shower needs new paint, but apart from that it was great. Great refuge after a wet days tramping from Ship Cove. Bar/Restaurant a great asset. Food great and well priced. Accommodation seems overpriced for standard.

Dear Dee20202, We're very pleased to hear how much you enjoyed sheltering at Furneaux Lodge after your wet walk. Thanks for your kind comments on the accommodation, bar, restaurant and food. We arrived at Furneaux Lodge after our first day of mountain biking Queen Charlotte's track. We checked into one of the Studio rooms overlooking the water and returned to the main lodge for a drink.
