We walked the length of the track and on our first night stayed at Furneaux lodge. Accom was basic but comfortable and did not have much choice due to the hotel being extremely busy with walkers and a wedding. When we booked we did not realise that it was a share room (with people outside of your group) so I...

Obviously those who liked this place got better accommodation than we did. Our cottage had not been updated since 1950, I'd guess. I've stayed in better places on school camps. Staff were unfriendly - didn't bother to tell us our boat would arrive half an hour early and then we had to wait another 2 hours for the next one....

We stayed in a handsome studio apartment overlooking the inlet. This was peaceful and secluded. Dinner in the restaurant was very good, well presented and tasty. The staff were friendly, helpful, thorougly professional and catered for difficult dietary problems well (dairy and gluten free). A lovely place to stay for a few days break to rest and unwind.

This lodge is located in a lovely spot; the staff were very kind and helpful. The rooms appeared to be in good shape, and well done. However, there were major downsides to Furneaux that would cause us to skip it next time. Breakfast mains cost $24 each; dinner was close to $40 for main dishes that were small and mediocre....

What can I say apart from this was a totally amazing place, the views and scenery here are amazing. The lodge itself is great, has a very friendly atmosphere and is very clean and tidy. The hosts Steve and Moira were amazing too, couldn't have asked for better people to met us on arrival. This is a must visit place...

We stayed here as part of a organised 4 day freedom walk. What a superb location. Our accommodation was lovely with lots of windows to let the sun in and it was modern. Nice and quiet as we were right at the end and due to the time of the year it was reasonably quiet. The food was superb and...

We stayed in Cabin 13 as our first night’s accommodation along the Queen Charlotte Track. Lovely for couples and very private. We were very impressed with the fresh, modern interior, good quality showers, bathroom products and of course the stunning views from the living area and bedroom. We always appreciate lodgings with tea and coffee making facilities. It was so...

Was a lovely place, the sun was shining and the views were fantastic. We arrived into Furneaux exhausted but were greeted by friendly faces. We stayed in a suite located at the front of the property, our bags had arrived safely and a cosy night was well needed. A night in front of the bar-fire and good food sorted us...

A very tired property, with second rate management. Highly overpriced, but with close to a monopoly. Not at all helped by any sort of greeting, and staff too lazy and too stupid and uncaring to cover our luggage between boat and chalet, so that all our gear was wet, leaving us nothing dry to change in to when arriving after...

This was our first night stop on the track and what a beautiful setting. We loved the lawn areas, sitting on the decking with a glass of wine was just lovely. We stayed in the Tobias suite (a little pricey) and it was great apart from the leaky shower but as it was a warm day so we could dry...
