Myself and my wife stay at Chachagua Rain Forrest and words alone cannot describe how much we enjoyed our time there. It is rustic but very comfortable. The staff is freindly and helpful. The Owner was very helpful with planning our excursion into the rainforest. He gave great suggestions and even helped arrange a fantastic boat tour of the river. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was relaxing and the the fresh water pool was inviting. I can't wait to go back!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a couple nights before heading on to the Arenal Volcano and glad we did. The price is great and the staff was more than helpful going out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. We wanted to see as much of the rainforest as possible during our visit to Costa Rica...

Chachagus EcoLodge is a special place about 15 KM from La Fortuna and near the Arenal Volcano region. The lodges are private with beautiful porches and spacious bedrooms (no kitchettes). The Lodge is at the end of a long dirt road and requires a sturdy four wheel car to get to but the drive is worth it. Our host, Diego,...

We loved staying at Chachagua Lodge! It's right in the middle of the jungle with a stream running through it. The landscaping is beautiful and they even offer a couple of hikes on the grounds. I saw two toucans! The breakfast was also delicious with fresh juice and fruit along with the typical Tico breakfast. The bungalow we stayed in...

Excellent back to nature resort. Bungalows were great with a porch overlooking the forest. No air conditioning, windows or tv. It was cool for sleeping so we didn't need air. It would have been nice to shut the window when the birds woke at 6 am. Restaurant was good and handled my gluten, egg, tomato allergies.

This ecolodge is not only peaceful, it offers beautiful views of all sorts of wildlife throughout the property. Diego is a wonderful host along with all other staff and as well camilla the dog. We did their horseback riding tour with a little hike to the natural springs. I would highly recommend for an onsite activity. The rooms are very...

This hotel was well worth the experience. The adventure starts by driving your vehicle along some very bumpy dirt roads (I'd recommend an SUV). You then come across the most stunning natural river and an inviting sign to the property. It was picturesque. Very quaint, and mature. It was quiet which allowed for us to have a relaxing time. The...

I organized a large group of 12 families and 44 people for a college reunion trip to CR. We stayed at the Chachagua Rainforest for 3 nights and had a very good experience. The hotel's location is quite unique because it's in the middle of the jungle. You have to get off paved road and then drive another 2.5km on...

Chachagua is worth finding! At the end of a rough road southwest of La Fortuna, it is a hidden paradise away from the hustle and bustle. We had a room the first night, and a cabin the next two nights. Both were clean, spacious, and private. We had been to this resort 5 years ago and decided to come back...
