As mentioned on a pervious post this really isn't a hotel but lots of holiday type beach bungalows , that said the one i had was very nice , it was spacious with a small kitchen and comfortable beds , nice outside deck with a table that will sit 6 , also a couple of sun loungers , we had a about a 5 minute walk to the beautiful local beach which really didn't get that busy at all , there is a bar on the beach which i believe is part of the neighboring hotel les Tipaniers but its open to anyone , you can also get a water taxi here to Coco island although you do need to book in advance as this sells out quickly especially at weekends A very nice place to stay if you want a quite relaxing time , its a bout a 20 minute walk to a little shipping area with a ATM , supermarket and Bar , other restaurants are around but need a car

In general I liked this place! And the price I paid per night was kind of reasonable ($240 per night with all taxes). By the way, it is not really a “hotel”. It is more like renting an apartment or a condo. The area around the property includes a part where “hotel” visitors stay, and also a part with homes, which belong to people who actually own and live there. However, this arrangement did not bother me at all. What I really want to mention is the private little beach, which this property sits on! It is basically for the people who stay or live at the property. It was peaceful and quiet there every single day, just the same nice people you know and see every day, no strangers. The beach was mostly sandy, with some little rocks in the sand. The ocean water was amazing and super clear! I could walk for 10 minutes straight out until it finally got deep. There was an activity center at the end of the beach, near the property, so you can choose some options for activities around the island. My room (#46) was in a two level building on the first floor. The room had a big outdoor terrace with table and chairs. The main room was big enough and had a kitchen in the corner, a living room area with a TV and sofa and even enough space to dance. The bedroom was a separate room, it was tiny. Basically it fits one double bed, there was not much more space. The bed was not really comfortable. And I really hated the shelf at the head of the bed! You can easily hit your head when sitting up or even laying down. Dangerous! I hit my head twice! They should remove this shelf to make things safer for people. I liked the fact that the bathroom and the toilet were separated. The bathroom had a pretty big shower stall, and separated by a glass door was a washer and dryer, which was a huge plus! The toilet was right next to the front door. One more thing I did not like about the room was that there was no secondary deadbolt to lock the door from the inside. Basically I had to use the same key all the time inside or outside the room to lock the door. Wi-Fi was working super slow! I could not use most of my apps including watching videos from YouTube and uploading photos/videos to Facebook. The “hotel’s” location is good. However, you definitely need a car or bike to move around the island, but there are a lot of different restaurants and little shops about a 5 minute ride from the “hotel”. I totally recommend this place for a stay! If you are looking for a private quiet vacation, this “hotel” is a great option for you. But at the same time take notice that there is nothing fancy and extraordinary about it.

We booked the Moorea Sunset Beach as we were after a relaxed, non-resort trip to Moorea. Two friends traveling meant we each wanted our own bed, and options for this were hard to come by without having to get two rooms. So an apartment room at this complex was perfect for us as there was a Queen Bed in the bedroom and a pull out sofa bed - so we each got our own space without having to spend double the price on the rooms. The apartment was clean, tidy, well looked after and the perfect spot to sit in the air con and chill out. The kitchen was small and probably missing a few key items - but we never cooked a full meal there, only used it to prep a drink or slice some fruit so that didn't worry us. I think if you were trying to cook a meal, you would quickly realise not everything was provided... but thats no different to most other self-catering options in terms of accomodation. We had a great outdoor area that went onto the grass, with two loungers and an outside table which we loved. The letdown for this place is the lack of basic provisions. We were provided with one bath towel each and nothing else. No hand towels, no face flannels, no beach towels. You could hire a beach towel from reception but luckily we had bought our own. But having to pay nearly NZ$10 to hire a towel seems crazy for a place that is right on the beach. Also not being able to get a towel to dry your hands on in the toilet was also quite annoying... The toilet is separated from the bathroom so you had to walk across with dripping hands to dry them on your bath towel in the other room. NOT a big deal in the scheme of things but just seems like such a basic item to have provided. The other thing missing was toilet paper... It transpires we were only provided with two toilet rolls and we didn't discover that we had used up the second roll until 10pm at night. As it's not a full-service hotel, the rooms are not cleaned daily and reception shuts at 5pm so I had to set an alarm to get up early to use the toilet at the hotel next door which opens at 6:30 for breakfast. Other items were for sale at reception such as washing machine powder, dishwashing tablets which seems fair enough but to honestly not give enough toilet paper is a bit of a joke. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay here. It was laid-back, on the beach, well kitted out and not expensive compared to the resorts in the same area. However if you are after a full service experience and a place with a restaurant, this is not for you!

My wife and i stayed here for five days in January 2020. We had a great experience and were very happy with the accommodation here. Access to the beach was super quick (10 steps) with a very convenient little rocky/coral outcrop nearby for a snorkel with lots of marine life. Hire a kayak for a quick easy paddle across the channel to swim with black tip reef sharks and sting rays. Water there is chest deep with minimal current. Great easy convenient location.

This place was great. The unit was spacious and had everything you need except hand towels, as others have mentioned. It had a washer/dryer which is a huge deal for me. The toilet is sort of inconveniently located by the front door but not a huge deal. The balcony was nice and big. The beach was very pretty and we were able to walk to several restaurants and grocery stores. The property itself is kind of dumpy, certainly not well manicured, but I think that is just how it goes on Moorea. I really didn't see any place that was well manicured except the 5 star resorts. Overall, that wasn't a big thing. The ladies at the front desk were helpful and it was a good stay.
