It wasn't clean and was old. I didn't try its restaurant as I didn't feel comfortable due to the cleaning level of the room. If you have to stay in Egirdir, you can only choose here because of its affordable price. The hotel was almost empty when I stayed there, though.
It's an old, weared down and not well maintained hotel. The location is nice and reception area at first makes you think it's a nice hotel. But we got disappointed as soon as we saw our room. It's more like hostel than 'Butik' hotel.
This hotel is in a great location, situated on an isthmus on Lake Egiridir but there it ends. The rooms are small, there was no heating that worked and the lift only took one person with luggage. The pre wrapped prepared breakfast was inadequate and poor, I had to ask for mine as they did not have enough on the table. The restaurant associated and owned by the Hotel refused to serve alcohol which for a tourist area I found strange. I think it is the owner imposing his choice on tourists. The WI -FI signal is poor
The room we had for our stay here was a 3 bedroom apartment, that had air con in one room. In terms of space, it was quite good and the view fro the top floor restaurant was nice, however that is where the positive things stop. The bathroom was very musty with no natural light and the beds were not comfortable.
The Merci is sandwiched in between several pensions and some rather run down building. Located on a peninsula of Lake Egirdir, it is in a beautiful setting. They gave us an upgrade to a superior room without comment. It was quiet. Breakfast is good and in their rooftop terrace which gives a great view of the Lake. We only stayed for one day as we were passing through. The best fish we have eaten in Turkey was across the street at the Melody at tables right on the lakeside. Large room, lots of hot water; one of the best A/C units we saw during a 3-week trip. We'd stay again.
I'm trying to find something nice to write.but only the building is nice the rest: - like restaurant, rooms but mostly staff was horrible. rooms are really small, old furnishing and the main thing is the smell of the room. our bathroom is leaking as well. and the noise of the leaking bathroom could let us sleep we asked the reception and there is no asnwer for that
We found Egridir a useful stopover when we drove from Cappadocia To the coast. The hotel owner as friendly when we first arrived and spoke good english but the rest of the staff didnt . We paid for a superior room with lakeview but it was awful. Smelt of tobacco ,cramped bathroom odd furnishing stained carpet leaking bath. The breakfast was good and views from breakfastroom extradionary.
I have stayed one night in Merci Butik Hotel on my way south. That was out of season, so everything was quiet and empty. I have booked that hotel via HRS as they offered the best price. I have changed night before and hotel knew all about that. Merci Butik Hotel is located in the centre of lovely Yesilada, which you can walk around in 20 minutes. It is not on the front lake line. Quite large parking space is available. Hotel looks really good from outside and reception/lobby looks quite good as well. Unfortunately rooms don't match. My room was quite small, and I had difficulties to move around. That was actually room for two guests (can't really imagine that). Room didn't smell fresh, but it was clean. This is smoking hotel so even if you have non-smoking room everything goes up straight to your room from the lobby and other rooms via ventilation channels. Sooo annoying. Not even single bed table, actually any table in the room or night lamp. Talking about lamp - the main was lovely - just a bulb. I was amazed with extraordinary wiring near TV. TV had few international programs available. There suppose to be Wi-Fi net access. I was looking forward to have that as there was nothing to do in the evening and I didn't want to spend my all evening in the smokers heaven (lobby) downstairs. It worked... for 5 minutes. The worst net access ever. I had to go downstairs two times and ask guy at reception to restart their router. Still didn't work for long. Small safety deposit box is hidden in the wardrobe, but it's not attached to anything, so you can actually take it with you. Not the smartest idea. There is a fridge with basic mini-bar, but stage of that part was absolutely awful. Guys! Clean it!!! Bin would be useful as well. There was heater (air-con), which worked fine, but bathroom is excluded - it was crazy cold there. Clean towels and slippers provided. I decided to use their restaurant as I was tired and didn't have mood to look around. Hotel's restaurant is on the top floor and offers great views all over the lake and mountains. I was impressed with that. Despite low season they were ready with all tables. It was quite cold there, but I really don't expect to warm entire room just for myself. Waiter turned on heating close to me, so that was pleasant enough. I had to say, that I waited for my order quite a long time. I think somebody had to drive to centre of Egirdir to buy some products. As I said earlier, it was totally out of season, so I understand that. Everything was fine, food was tasty and well prepared (except cold chips, which I can live with, haha) and prices were reasonable. In the morning breakfast was served downstairs and that was really good. I was leaving my room not too happy, but after breakfast I left hotel with a smile and good mood. Young guy at reception was really friendly and helpful. Thank you. And I could pay with my credit card, which his older colleague afternoon earlier wasn't too happy with. As I didn't have any cash with me that was only one option and hotel claims that accept all major credit/debit cards. I had really mixed feelings regarding this hotel. Probably everything looks much much nicer when you have sun and more light around you. November is Egirdir is grey, cold and windy. That affects your mind as well, so you could be more critical. It must be great summer destination, I can only imagine. Would I come back to this hotel? Hm... Probably not. I really didn't like smell of cigarettes everywhere, terrible net access and poor rooms.…
Perhaps this is your best choice among the guesthouses on the Yesilada-peninsula in Egirdir, but my wife and I found the room was too narrow. Yes, we had 3 single beds, all placed next to each other, but since the room was only 3 x 5 metres (excluding the bathroom and entrance hall), there really wasn’t very much space to move around. However, this hotel seems to focus less on international tourists (though friendly, the staff hardly speaks English) but it is quite popular with Turkish couples and families, which made a lot of noise when returning late at night from dinner parties in town. Ask for a room on the highest floor, as far away from the elevator as possible! While the view from the rooftop restaurant is terrific, the food is rather mediocre. Though we have no real reasons to complain, we wouldn’t stay here again as the character of the house doesn’t match with ours.…
The location is excellent with a superb view from the rooftop restaurant. However, the rooms were missing so many basic details: lampshades, bedside lighting, bath mat, desk or table, etc. The bathroom was very smelly. The restaurant was expensive and very poor meals. Breakfast was minimal.
