This was our first visit to the Highlands of Scotland having just extracted ourselves from the mayhem of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and were really looking forward to our stay. Lundie View Lodge’s claim to fame is that Bonnie Prince Charlie mustered his men before marching south for battle with the English, all of which was explained by the very friendly owner Colin who took us for a little tour of the B&B and explained the history of the area for us when we arrived. I rang the lodge to enquire about B&B and when I was told that we could have a 3 bedroom chalet with a lounge and kitchen/diner for the same price I was delighted. We took over the property last year and we found during the season that the chalet attracted some negative comments. We therefore sold the chalet at the end of the season and are concentrating our efforts on the guest house which is our primary business.
