We are lucky enough to live near the Parva Farmhouse, and so, we have eaten at the restaurant on many occasions. It really is the only place we can reliably go to and know that we won't leave feeling disappointed. Far from it, we always leave with a great feeling of having experienced something lovingly thought out, Roger Brook's exquisite menu. Marta's wine pairing delivered with passion and knowledge and her all too rare front of house skills mean you can confidently recommend it to friends with high food standards. It's a treat for us. We can not wait for it to reopen!!!!

Amazing building, cosy and well decorated, with log bruners cosy armchairs and a bar with a good selection of wines and spirits, fully kitted rooms with Nespresso machine, very comfy beds and great views, and really clean, and tastefully decorated. We also had dinner at the restaurant, the Food was to die for. amazing breakfast too, really good quality food , and very well presented and prepared, the host were very welcoming, and we were very well looked after. Reilly recommend it for a weekend treat and lovely walks in the woods to admire the majestic surroundings.the river, the woods and hills also obviously the abbey and the rest of the village. Thanks to the staff at the parva farm house, for making our weekend delightful, and we definitely recharged our batteries after a break in nature. It also felt very covid safe, they are very mindful, with wiping , sanitising, cleaning, and social distancing.

Nestling down a narrow lane to a small carpark opposite the Wye Valley Hotel lies the Parva Farmhouse. The owners, Marta and Roger Brook, describe it very fairly as a restaurant with rooms, and that rightly indicates that their obvious enthusiasm is to showcase Roger's delicious and imaginative cooking. His skills were previously displayed as an award winning chef at the well known Walnut Tree in Abergavenny. But in their two years in Tintern, surviving near flooding and the latest virus challenges, they have also made the farmhouse and its small garden a welcoming, warm and comfortable haven for their overnight guests. For our two night stay we had a large room with a river view and a very comfortable bed. The dinner menu is varied, tasty and imaginative and the service is friendly, thoughtful and efficient. The breakfasts served the next morning are substantial and thoughtfully presented with some interesting lighter variants to the full farmhouse choice, though that itself is excellent. The location is highly suitable for walkers as it is easy to reach the Offa's Dyke path across the Wye from the footbridge in Tintern just up from the Abbey and fifteen minutes down the road. It is also comfortable and convenient for anyone touring the area by other means. The Covid precautions taken are effective and well designed, but the abiding impression is of the care, warmth and enthusiasm of the owners as they offer their service and culinary excellence with a smile come what may.

We had 3 lovely nights at Parva this week. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and were cleaned everyday, even during covid. Marta and Roger were very friendly. The breakfast selection was very varied and delicious. Dinner was fancy but worth it. There’s a few games available, we had a nightly round of scrabble. It’s right by the river and there is a little bench to sit on past the car park to watch the river go by from. Just gorgeous. About a 15 minute walk from Tintern Abbey.

We had a wonderful meal at the Parva Guest House, it was like going to a little bistro. Despite the many pubs locally all serving good meals the Parva was a cut above. Started with the stuffed courgette flower followed by a lamb tagine, and try the Sassy cider 🍎🍎🍎
