I would award this B and B and restaurant 6 stars if I could. It was fantastic, it totally exceeded our expectations. We stayed with two friends for two nights. The welcome from Marta was very warm and the rooms also warm and cosy on such a cold weekend. The twin beds were great quality and very comfortable indeed. We slept really well, it was very quiet at night. The linens were of an extremely high quality. Then we come to the delicious food. My goodness! Roger the chef is a huge talent. The food was absolutely spectacular! We started with home made bread, halibut in a delicious sauce, duck cooked to perfection as was the beef. Really superb. The quality of the ingredients and the preparation shone through. We were here for two nights and both mornings the breakfasts were excellent, smashed avocado on tomato sourdough really good, and the boys declared their cooked breakfasts superb. Again really good quality ingredients, home made bread and granola. All served with a smile by the lovely Marta. Really wonderful. Great walks along the Wye Valley from the door. Thank you Roger and Marta and we will return!…
An idyllic setting for an overnight stay to celebrate our anniversary. A very warm friendly welcome from Marta. Our room was beautiful with views across the river. Lovely antique furniture, spacious well fitted bathroom and the bed was heavenly with gorgeous cosy bedding. We had evening meal at the hotel. Everything was delicious, high quality, seasonal ingredients cooked with love and presented beautifully by chef Roger. Breakfast was equally special. We really felt like we were staying in someone's gorgeous home and our own personal chef was cooking just for us. Parva Farmhouse B&B is a very special place and we can't wait to return.
Excellent stay very quiet nice and cosy couple who run B and B roger and Marta were very friendly not far from abbey room was lovely and spacious they have a nice coffee machine in the room which added to the stay view were lovely along the river a stay is definitely worth it
Great experience! The room was comfy and the staff/owners were really friendly as wel! We were in doubt to go to the restaurant because the menu on the website was not our taste, but we later found out that the menu’s change often. After checking the actual menu for our stay, we decided to have dinner here as well and we were not disappointed! Can highly recommended as a place to spend the night or diner!
This was the most expensive place we stayed on our three weeks in Wales. It certainly was the largest room and bathroom we had. The room service was weird. Housekeeping would take all the cups and glasses and not give any back. We were skipped entirely one day. We ran out of toilet paper. The shower, which is huge, had one temperature, hot. And the water threatens to flood the place with the shallow base. We ate one dinner there. It was expensive and not that good. The breakfasts were very good with numerous choices. The host seemed a bit overwhelmed. Perhaps they are short on help. Loved the room.
Brilliant stay at Parva Farmhouse. Very comfy bed and pillows, window we could open so nice and cool, and the best shower I've ever experienced. Dinner was really excellent. All three courses were delicious, and breakfast was to the same high standard. Marta and her team were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again if we're in this neck of the woods.
It is not very often you find somewhere that is perfect in every way but Parva Farmhouse excells in every expectation. We had Dinner, Bed and Breakfast and despite only Iiving 30 mins away will be taking every opportunity or even excuse to go again and again.
Marta and Robert run a truly excellent guesthouse, they are wonderful hosts. Our room was spotless and very comfortable with a big bright en-suite bathroom. The location is very peaceful and quiet beside a little church, with a selection of pubs and Tintern Abbey within a short walking distance. We had dinner which we pre-ordered the day before was this was absolutely top notch. The beef cheek starter was melt-in-mouth as was the venison main. Sadly we had no room for dessert! There was a great selection of drinks and wines on offer and the following morning we left with full bellies after our DEICIOUS brekkie which had homemade potato bread along with the crispiest bacon I've had in years. It's an absolute treat to stay here.
We drove into the car park and stood still for a moment to take in the beautiful views of the River Wye, the abundance of trees and then we turned our attention to Parva Farmhouse a beautiful quaint pretty guest house set in stunning surroundings. We were greeted by Marta who is lovely. We were shown to our room, we had booked the deluxe super king room and we were not disappointed. Super clean, spotless and looked brand new, tasteful furniture in keeping with the look of the place and the bed very very comfortable. Sadly we had only booked one night, but this is a place you definitely want to come back to again and again. Once we had unpacked we wandered down to the garden outside and ordered a Wye Valley gin and tonic (I heartily recommend the gin!) there is a lovely lounge area which is peaceful with a lovely view into the garden. The one thing I noticed about Parva is that it’s very peaceful even with other guests, and that tranquility filters through to the dining area. We had preordered our evening meal. Roger the Chef has some amazing skills in the kitchen and the food was to die for. We ordered starters skate wing and pork belly, both beyond amazing with some of their home made crusty bread, gives you an appetite for the mains which was a whole plaice each. It was the size of the entire plate, cooked to perfection with seasonal veg. The wine list is pretty extensive so if you have a preference I’m sure you will find something you like. We finished with a muscat crème caramel which was utterly delicious. The breakfast was as delicious as the evening meal. Date and banana porridge with toast, strawberries on toasted brioche, then from the kitchen eggs, we had scrambled and poached, the scrambled eggs are creamy and delicious I wish I knew Roger’s secret, bacon, sausage, tomato, mushrooms and potato bread. This really sets you up for the day. All in all a restful relaxing time, hopefully to be repeated soon and stay a few days instead of just one. Marta and Roger work tirelessly to ensure that your stay is perfect they are both lovely and we can’t wait to book with them again. If I could give more than 5stars I would. Unlike any hotel I’ve stayed in this service is utterly personal and the food unique and plentiful. Thank you both so much for making our stay so special.…
Had dinner there. It was hubby's birthday. Lovely atmosphere, fresh food, great service. We booked and were asked to choose our food a day before, The restaurant only cooks food to order. This ensures freshness and quality. Th family-run bed and breakfast is set in an idyllic location, overlooking the river Wye. I would recommend this place for a romantic quality meal.
