Beautiful location near the Abbey. Super friendly staff Team. Comfortable, warm , well equipped rooms. Buzzing well stocked bar with great selection of wines and local real ales. Excellent dinner and breakfast choice. Will certainly come again.
The restaurant is being let down by terrible service, narrow visioned waiting staff, mosquitoeing pointlessly between the tables. The food is ok, good choice of ingredients, however execution doesn’t not live up to the hype.
Lovely Tuesday early evening meal.. lovely location and warm welcoming staff.. good range of dishes on the menu, the food we had was well presented and prepared and tasted great.. good service throughout our time here. Would thoroughly recommend..
6 Family members came for evening meal to celbrate my sisters birthday and we all throughly enjoyed the meals very much and the service was excellent it was the first time some of my family had been there
Have previously had delicious home cooked meals here, this visit had the Christmas menu on offer, so disappointed with our choice of Turkey curry, big square chunks of processed Turkey meat, looked & smelt like dog food, it would be such a shame if they have stopped using local produce.
I so enjoyed my visit to the coffee house and received great service. A very relaxed environment and very friendly and helpful staff - the dog especially loved the attention! Thank you! Will definitely be returning for a meal one day!
Very warm and comfortable room. Really appreciated the fresh milk outside the door in the morning and upon arrival. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and cooked breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
Popped into today whilst walking with my friend, it looked lovely and festive, warm and welcoming. We went into the cafe which was dog friendly, had hot chocolate, tea and flapjacks delicious. The member of staff even bought over a bowl of water for the dog. Great service thank you. We’ll be visiting again.
We stayed in a fabulous suite, room 16, and we were welcomed as soon as we arrived and none of the staff spared any effort in making sure we were totally comfortable and had everything we needed. Food and wine excellent and great location. Highly recommend. We shall return.
We stopped in here for lunch as we were passing and it had been recommended. My partner firstly went to the bar to look at beer choices to order one but got told to sit down as they came to us, who then took ages to come and ask him what beer he wanted, the beer itself was off so we got it changed to another and later when asking for another different beer the waitress brought over the very first off beer again not listening to what he asked for. The menu itself was very basic and not a lot of choice. He went for the sirloin steak and fries and I had the tempura fish sandwich. The steak came out flat as a pancake and well done - it does state well done on the menu but when we asked for it medium rare the waitress said no problem and didn’t inform us that it was going to be a flat steak or we wouldn’t have opted for that option the fries on the side had been over fried and were oily and extra crispy . Shame to ruin a good piece of meat as the flavour was still nice. The fish sandwich was okay but lacked in any seasoning or flavour as if it had come out the freezer. The best thing was the Parmesan truffle fries which didn’t seem to be over fried like the plain ones were.…
