Stayed 2 nights in march, booked for 3 adults and chose the room with a double and 1 single as on the website it said that there was no extra adult supplement for this room. I was quoted £190 for the 2 nights. Very reasonable and considering we were 3 female friends and two of us had to share a...

We visit the lake district every years and seen landlords/ ladies come and go but happily to report that it always keeps its standards. We ate twice in here on our holidays with our 2 dogs. Food was lovely very generous portion sizes. The staff were friendly and helpful. Slightly confused why there is a menu, a specials board and...

Great service here throughout - lovely cosy room with high quality bedding. Bathroom is very small in the room we had - this is the only downside. Fantastic food and service, great location next to Ullswater. Lovely spacious balcony. Thoroughly recommend.

Just home from a very relaxing break. We love it here as the food is good, man sized portions and friendly staff. Only grumbles are would of nice to have fires lit as it was a little cold in the bar and our lasagne was very dry but other than that great place. We keep going back and even our...

Just back from our 4th visit from this gorgeous Inn. New owners have got it perfect, food superb and staff wonderful. Got Room 10 again and it's just right for us, 6 year old and 2 dogs. Can't wait to return for next visit.

Stayed in room 5 for an evening. Room was nice, has a balcony (not a spectacular view but would be nice in summer) and the bed was relatively comfy. The room was quite warm even without the radiator on and that and the constant humming noise in the corner of the room suggested it was next to a boiler. TV...

After a recommendation from a customer at my pub I booked a few nights here. Can't speak highly enough. The people were very welcoming, the ale was superb and the food fantastic. Real pub food, done right.

Met up for lunch with my brother and his wife and their dog last Friday! What a menu, lots of variety especially as my brother is a veggie! The staff were so friendly and helpful while taking our order! After a very short wait the food arrived and it was gorgeous! Silence reigned over the table while we all tucked...

Lovely that the pub is dog friendly. After a really long walk we were really looking forward to a pub lunch, but it was just all pretty tasteless and like it had been got out of numerous packets from the freezer. It would be great if you could do a few things really well rather than trying to do everything...

Hi rose thank you for visiting us at the pooley bridge inn. I can assure you that none of our food comes out of a packet, everything is cooked fresh from scratch. We have had lots of positive feedback in the pub about our new menu and on social media and locally. We do apologise that you were not impressed...
