The best kept secret in South Africa. Breathtaking views down in the valley. Best and friendly personal working at Camp Figtree! The chef is exceptional, good quality food, well prepared to every individual's taste, the best. Location up in the mountain away from the busy road, though near enough for a visit to Addo! Well priced. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay in Camp Figtree. The tents are well equipped and have an amazing view. Personnel is very friendly. Dinner was good and nicely served in a cozy room with the fireplace. On the veranda you can sit and relax in the convenient chairs and couches. We loved the little things like the hot water for coffee/tea...

My friend and I stayed here at the end of a 2 week trip and it was the best place we stayed. We stayed in one of the luxury tents. And it really is luxury. From the cosy duvet and warm heater at night to the standing bath and lovely shower. What is the most breathtaking is the views! We...

After a long drive up a bumpy and dusty lane we arrived at the rather unassuming gates, but had trouble getting in as nobody answered. Camp Figtree is perched high up in the forest with fabulous views all around. The discreet tin-roofed lodges are extremely spacious and beautifully appointed. Dinner was delicious, if a little pricey compared to other high-end...

Dear Tessa Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We apologise for the delay in answering the gate, we had reception problems with one of our lines, this has since been attended too. We are pleased to hear you that enjoyed our dinner and the wonderful views Camp Figtree offers. We have addressed your comments regarding towels...

Stayed here for 2 nights recently with my husband. When I booked it I knew there was a great view but it didn't state being 600+ feet in the mountains haha. We are both afraid of heights and having to drive a very narrow dirt road to the top is a little hairy, however ! it is so worth it...

We had a great 3 night stay at Camp Figtree. The views are stunning, the grounds well maintained and our luxury suite was very spacious. The food is very good with variety each day. Camp Figtree is a great location if you plan to spend time in Addo Park. (Just 15 minutes away by car from the main gate.) The...

We stayed in a luxury tent, which looked brand new but apparently wasn't. The view was absolutely stunning and came complete with Hornbills who greeted us each morning. All the staff were fantastic and provided anything you could ever want. Only very small niggle is the building work that was going on when we were there.

Absolute stunner of a place - it's a harrowing drive up a mountain to get there, but our little Ford Fiesta made it, and what. a. view. The view from the veranda of our luxury tent has now become the image I think of when I need to calm down or appreciate life - it's that wonderful. The staff went...

Our stay here was somewhat underwhelming. The room was nice and kind of private, but management was non existent, so the service was not great. We were there while they were renovating or something, so day time relaxing at the lodge was not great.

We stayed on the luxury chalets and had an amazing experience. The location is perfect on top of the mountain offering amazingly quiet and beautiful views over the valley all the way where the eyes can reach.
