We had our daughter’s wedding at the Ship Inn recently and they made it an unforgettable day for us. Every detail was perfect. The room was beautifully laid out and Grace and the other staff were delightful throughout the entire day. A special mention needs to go to the chef who prepared the best roast beef I’ve ever eaten. We had dancing on the beach and the local customers joined in the celebrations which added to the feeling of warmth we all enjoyed. A day to remember. Thank you all so much for a wonderful day.
This was my second visit to his beautiful hotel. This time I brought a friend to experience it. Again I stayed in Captain Scott room with its fabulous views of the beach. In the evening we ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it and in the late afternoon we were very lucky to get a table to enjoy a drink outside looking across the sea. Staff are wonderful, breakfast is a great start to the day and the sunsets are stunning.
Lovely sea view room, walk in shower, really amazing large, good quality breakfasts! But ... the absolutely best thing about The Ship is their lovely staff! Due to a misunderstanding on my part re rooms my disabled husband ended up on the 2nd floor and we couldn't be moved as they were fully booked! I would like to thank Grace again for all her help in organizing breakfast being delivered to room etc to save him negotiating stairs . All the staff who brought things up for us were really lovely and didn't look put out at all. Owners should note that Grace is their best asset along with all the others. Without exception they were really kind and we did not feel we were a nuisance ( even although we were! ) Thank you again!
My friend and I had a lovely 2 nights at the Ship Inn this week. The staff, and especially Tracy, went out of their way to help us with any requests from finding a table outside on an extremely busy sunny afternoon or booking a table in a n alternative restaurant. Couldn’t fault the whole experience.
Had a wonderful two night stay in a room with the best of views. All the staff we met were friendly, good humoured and pretty efficient which made for an enjoyable stay. We ate in the restaurant on one of the evenings and had a lovely meal. Well worth the visit.
