We were on our way to Cordoba and needed to stop for the night... and there appeared Hotel El Puerto. As a roadhouse this takes some beating: excellent service, clean, comfortable room and bathroom plus a super day menu for a very reasonable price and an atmospheric bar for a drink or two and breakfast the next morning.

We stayed here during our drive across Spain a few years back and did not hesitate to book it again this year. We love the Spanish feel of the place. They are very friendly and don't speak English......we like that as we then have to make an effort with the language. At only £47 for the room, which was very...

Well what can I say this is the first time we have been in Spain & we were not expecting it to be so dry & hot . The local people were very friendly but could not speak English which made life interesting Much fun.

Travelling across Spain and decided to stay near the windmills- at Consuegra. A stay in a small village of Puerto Lapice seemed a good idea. -and it was! Free wi-fi, and close to the village centre. Comfortable room but the bed was a bit hard for me. 2 days would have been better. The village is great in the evenings....

We happened upon Puerto Lapice on our way to Madrid from Cordoba. We had no idea about the little town or the Hotel, just saw the windmills on the hill. We decided to check out the El Puerto, and stopped in, it looked so peaceful, and had convenient parking right out front. The nice gentleman at the front desk, didn't...

We decided on a stop here rather than rising very early the next morning and traveling all the way from Granada to Madrid. We researched this location as it left about an hour and a half drive to Madrid the next morning. We chose the hotel based on a balance of positive reviews and it just looked nice. Delightful, helpful...

We made reservations at Hotel El Puerto a couple of weeks ahead of our arrival in Spain. We arrived and everything was as advertised, but better. The room was comfortable, and included a view of the town's famous windmills, which are illuminated at night. The hotel features some wonderful rustic furniture and a unique stained glass representation of Don Quijote....

We had to stay in Puerto Lapice for one night and checked into this two star hotel. The star grade does not explain the standard and it was as good as a great deal of three and four star hotels in England! We had a nice rear facing room with en suite facilities (no bath) which were clean and worked...

I ended up here on a Saturday night after not having been able to find budget accommodations in either Almagro or Alcázar de San Juan. The hotel is very nice and is located on the edge of town, near the main highway to Madrid. There is plenty of on site parking, some of it covered. My room is small, with...
