Amazing view's very welcoming and friendly owners 😀 The views are just breathtaking, the campsite is spotless and very well maintained. The owners went above and beyond to accommodate us. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I will definitely be back, it's a must.

This is an exceptionally beautiful campsite, the views are stunning of the Galtee mountains. All the facilities are very clean. It is a very well laid out and spacious campsite so everyone can enjoy their own space. Everyone was friendly. We stayed for five nights and we were sorry we didn't stay longer I would highly recommend this peaceful dog friendly child-friendly campsite to all.

What a fantastic site. Amenities spotless, grounds perfect, views to die for (metaphorically) attention to detail faultless. All well worth the narrow approach road. which, wasn't an issue really as, being quite high up in a moho cab, tended to give a decent view. Glen of Aherlow Hotel, 30 minute walk..also terrific.

Please avoid this campsite if you have a family.
We have just returned from a wonderful trip through the UK and Ireland. We only had 1 bad experience from Scotland, Wales and Ireland and that was in Tipperary.
Possibly the most rude and horrible owners we have come across in all of Europe.
We were supposed to stay for 3/4 days but left after 2 due to the rudeness of the owners.
We had our three children with us, one of whom has special needs, and they were treated like little terrorists for making noise.
Kids being kids will always try to have fun, but this site is totally fun for free.
Jorge told the kids to kick their soccer ball somewhere else, which they did, and yet they were told to move.
The owner patrols the place on an electric bike and complains if there is noise.
Jorge spent time watching our kids to make sure they weren't making noise. It was quite surprising that there is a pool table and table tennis for children to use, but it seems that even this is too much.
I would request any European family to never ever stay here. It's such a shame as the locale is beautiful and the majority of Irish people are very welcoming.
We ended up staying in a hotel for the rest of our stay in Tipperary before moving on to Galway where we stayed in a great place at a place called Salt Hill. AVOID

Glen of Aherlow Caravan Park is without doubt the best site we have ever stayed offering a selection of pitches, and excellent security with the most spectacular views, ideally situated for visiting Central, West and Southern Ireland.

But what makes this site so special is Rosaline and George who are wonderful. The Boat was delayed getting in so we called Rosaline to advise our ETA which was no problem. Upon arrival, George took us to our Pitch and because we were losing the light, George not only positioned the Van, he set up the Electrics because he wanted to make sure we had Power and knowing that we had never used a Full Service Pitch set up the Water and Waste.

We arrived 2 weeks ago and sadly leave in a couple of days and would not hesitate in coming back or suggesting this beautiful site to anyone.

Lovely stay in Aherlow Woods Holiday Home.

The houses are spacious and spotlessly clean. Back garden with picnic bench.

There are three generous bedrooms, two en-suite (upstairs) one with walk-in wardrobe, the main very large bathroom is opposite the third bedroom(downstairs) . The third bedroom also has a desk and office chair in case you need to work while you are there. Fibre broadband which was great.

Kitchen is well equipped. Gas hub and oven. Fridge freezer. Lots of crockery. Coffee filter machine plus caffeine . Iron, ironing board etc.
Washing machine and tumble dryer are upstairs.

Large living L-shaped living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting room in one. Two settees plus two armchairs . Coffee table, Fireplace , tv, DVD player.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely return.

The Cloke family trip to the Glen Of Aherlow Caravan & Camping Park was an Epic start to our summer. A beautiful campsite surrounded by absolute beauty. We wanted for nothing, the management were absolutely amazing and lovely to us in every way. Beautiful grounds complete with electric hookups, fresh running water, cooking facilities, showers and bathrooms , games room which were all above board. I was most impressed with how clean and comfortable this place was. Our pitch was excellent, it was big enough to compliment our 5 metre bell tent and our trailer with an awning off the side, we were very comfortable indeed. The price of our stay was very reasonable and affordable. This place is very pleasant and very peaceful, if you’re looking for a few days relaxing and enjoying the beauty Ireland has to offer, then you should definitely spend some time here. We will definitely be back, we actually can’t wait! Thank you to the wonderful management team at The Glen Of Aherlow Caravan & Camping Park, We will see you all again before the end of the Summer.

Hi, the Park has a recreation room with pool and table tennis tables along with a dedicated television room. The Park also comprises of lots of open green space suitable for a range of games and sporting activities. It does not have a playground. The Glen of Aherlow as a destination has many forest trails which are suitable to take kids on with some fairy houses dotted throughout the local nature park to keep little minds active and most importantly make a great experience for all the family.

Hi Mark, Thank you for your enquiry, and my apologies for our delayed reply. The park is nicely sheltered as we are inland and tucked away in the valley of the Glen of Aherlow. The park has a lot of mature hedging and other planting which helps to protect campers from any wind. Of course like anywhere it can get windy at times but it is rather nice at the moment. I hope this helps. Many Thanks, Nigel Drew
