Detailed Reviews
I stayed at Balinacourty house (tipperary) Caravan and camping and restaurant on site in July 2020 with my partner and 3 kids. It was our first time away in our new caravan but because the campsite was so well organised it made it very easy for us to set up. It was very family orientated friendly, safe, clean, and very well run. A family owned business with Chris running the campsite with his sons and grandsons and his other son and his wife running the B&B and restaurant. I can't say enough how we were treated. It was easy to settle in with lots of information about the amenities. Very safe for the children with a WiFi room, mini golf, tennis court and beautiful well kept gardens that were open to walk around. We visited the restaurant on site and the food was very high level. Very affordable for families with a really versatile children's menu. The staff and waitresses were very helpful and friendly and the service was so quick. There was hand sanitising stations all over the restaurant and we felt really safe. The air conditioning was at full blast another safety precaution that worked well. I would definitely recommend it and would go back in a heart beat.

We spent 8 nights camping here in August for a family holiday. Very well maintained and clean Campsite.
Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after!
Due to covid, booking showers in advance was necessary but showers are free of charge, spotlessly clean and water was lovely and hot, which is not always the case on campsites in our experience!
We loved it so much we returned the following weekend for a short break!
We ate in the restaurant too which was fabulous quality food!
This campsite is a hidden gem and very well worth a visit! We will most certainly be return visitors!

Just back from yet another perfect weekend in Ballinacourty House. My family has visited almost every year and it never disappoints. Perfectly situated for a peaceful weekend with stunning views. The campsite is beautifully kept, with it’s old stone buildings and mature tree’s and gardens. The staff are welcoming and always more than helpful, they run a very family friendly business.
Lovely to see little kids all playing together and having such simple fun. The campsite is only a five minute drive or an easy short walk from Lisvernane with a shop that has everything you could need and a country pub. I also love being able to bring my little dog with me, the site is dog friendly, the few dogs were all very well behaved and the sites and paths were all perfectly clean. I slept like a log each night, it’s the perfect site for a simple relaxing weekend with amazing surroundings for photography and touring. Can’t wait for next year.

No doubt a beautiful and well maintained site. Stayed two nights. Note - website is not up to date. Due to Covid19 limited washroom facilities and charging for showers - €5!!!!. However biggest issue was attitude of the staff - every interaction managed to make us feel like we were an inconvenience and that's from when wanted to check in (having phoned ahead) to when we were leaving. One individual needs to understand subtlies of the "hospitality" industry.

We had a brief visit here in late October.
Wonderful place to stay for a quiet get-away. We arrived hungry in the early afternoon and Mary served us some delicious Veg soup with bread and cheese ( for which we were never charged)
Our room was very comfortable, and we had a delicious meal in the adjoining restaurant, followed by a long evening chatting in the very comfy sitting room.
Breakfast is homecooked and fresh.
Some lovely walks at our doorstep and the Glen of Aherlow to discover.
Thanks Mary & family.

Just home from 2 nights and I'm afraid we won't be back. This is not a 4 star. It's a field with a rough road around it and pitches here and there along the road. On checking in we were told there is a strict noise policy, this obviously didn't refer to the 4 families camping together who were located behind us beside the playground. There kids were in under our caravan screaming and playing late at night. Facilities are basic, 2 sinks for the entire campsite to wash dishes. Access is very tight at the entrance after travelling a very narrow road. I hate leaving bad reviews but there is very little good I can write about this one.

Just back from a two night camping stay at ballinacourty house. The campsite is located in a beautiful setting with views to the Galtee mountains.
The site itself is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The walled garden and mature trees onsite are a huge asset to the campsite. The onsite restaurant is located in a beautifully restored stables/coach house courtyard with a lovely garden in the centre. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.
The really outstanding thing about this site are it's staff. From the reception/campsite staff to the waiting staff in the Restaurant, everyone we met was exceptionally friendly and helpful, 10/10.
I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a base to tour south Tipperary, particularly walkers and lovers of historical sites.

Just spent our first night away in our motorhome, how lucky we were to pick Ballinacourty house to do so. Idyllic scenery surrounds the site and the onsite restaurant serves delicious food at reasonable prices. It was so good we are returning in 2 weeks time.

It's a very scenic spot with great views. We enjoyed the quietness of the location. The host isn't particularly warm or welcoming but neither was he unfriendly. He took the balance and told us roughly where to pitch. If you want to find out stuff, you have to ask.
There is a semi-open lean to building with washing up room, a men's, a women's and a shower room. There is also a room with a fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and hob, free to use. The building is rough and ready but still works. Unfortunately, it is not cleaned properly. Little piles of dirt, insect carcasses and cobwebs occupy the corners of the toilet cubicles and shower stalls, I have never seen so many spiders, living happily and unmolested. To be fair, the toilet bowls, basins and sinks were all clean but honestly, it's not good enough.
There wasn't much in the shop. What there is, is expensive, so stock up before you come as it's a long way from anywhere.
The restaurant closed in April so nowhere to enjoy a meal close by sadly.
