We had a last minute half term break here. Charles and Christina were delightful and their home really comfortable with properly English interior design and comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms with decent shower and nice organic shower gel which was thoughtful. We loved the breakfasts which included Christina's home made muffins which were a revelation! Surely she should be on Bake...

Our stay at The Old George was simply brilliant! My boyfriend surprised me for a weekend away where we stayed in the most beautiful room in a charming village. Charles and Christina were incredibly welcoming, catering to all our needs and cooking delicious breakfasts each morning. The room was clean, homely, beautifully decorated with nice towels and complimentary toiletries. Fresh...

We hoped for somewhere quiet and calm for our two night stay. We found the perfect village and hotel. A great attention to detail in all aspects. The bedroom and bathroom were exquisite as well as both clean and smart. A very relaxing stay. The breakfasts were wonderfully cooked with great ingredients and with fresh baked [delicious] muffins too! Its...

We stayed for a two night break in this beautiful house, our room was at the front overlooking The Square. The decor throughout is immaculate and calming. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the toiletries were of a good quality as were the tea and coffee supplied in the room. The breakfasts were delicious, with a bonus of home made blueberry...

My wife and I are just back from another lovely stay at The Old George in Broadwindsor, Dorset. 5 star hospitality as usual, delicious home cooked breakfast including homemade jams and marmalades and home made banana fruit loaf ! All served in Charles and Christina's beautiful dining room along with a copy of the mornings paper to peruse. Quiet, and...

We have just returned from a 2 night stay and were very pleased with the quality and decor of our room. We were even more pleased (and surprised) to be offered home made scones, jam and biscuits on arrival! The breakfasts were also excellent. Broadwindsor is only a short distance from the coast and its many attractions, and is a...

I stayed for 1 night here while visiting a relative in a room overlooking the square. This is a very nice guest house and thoroughly deserves its 4 rosettes. Character is lovely, hosts are very accommodating, beds comfortable and breakfast very well catered for. You can tell that it a cut above most of its competitors. It is slightly pricey...

The room was lovely light and beautifully furnished with a lovely roll top Bath. The bed was very comfortable and the hosts were...

I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for your kind comments. I hope you don't mind me making a small correction (only to reassure future guests!) but we do have parking for one car in the passageway at the front of the house and off-road parking by our back gate. If we are...

Lets get the negatives out of the way first. At around £220 to £230 per night high season, it can be argued it is a bit overpriced. I understand the need for holiday pricing but at this level, they are 3/4* hotel prices where there are more “in house” facilities than are available here. There is little in the locale...
