Stayed here for only one night but wish it could have been many more. Guide took us on amazing hikes around the mountains. The chilly, foggy weather was like balm for my city-worn soul. The room (double double) was well equipped and luxurious. The fireplace was such a welcome touch as was the tea and tea set that helped us...

We really wanted to see the cherry blossoms on Alishan during the season. With the restrictions on traffic and young children in tow, we booked AlishanHouse for it's location and ease of access to the forest trails and cherry blossom trees. It was lovely to be staying within the forest reserve itself. The high cost can be explained by the...

This beautiful hotel is one of the few hotels within Alishan National Park with many walking trails leading straight from the hotel. I would recommend staying at least 2 nights to enjoy all that Alishan has to offer- come back for a little nap after catching sun rise, explore various trails and out for an evening stroll after dinner. The...

We stay a night at Honeymoon suite located at the Historical House. The hotel provides shuttle bus to and fro the hotel and Alishan tourist information centre. Seeing that we were waiting at the lobby for the shuttle bus which will only depart 15 minutes later, the hotel arranged a non-scheduled shuttle bus to send us to the tourist information...

It's at the top of the mountain! You can catch the first train up the mountain to watch the sunrise and by back in time for breakfast! Hotel is modem, spacious and clean. Housekeeping is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was yummy. Location is great for walking along and if you need to go to...

Very nice facilities in an unbeatable location, but building was not very well maintained and it was really expensive compared to other much nicer hotels that we stayed at in Taiwan. The food was especially disappointing as they tried unsuccessfully to do high-end western style food rather than sticking with quality local dishes.

Stayed in a room situated at historical wing. Was classic, nice and comfortable. The spread for buffet dinner and breakfast was good serving local and western dishes. I enjoyed the soups and hot meals to keep warm. Service was good. They book train tickets(limited per morning) to the summit for Sunrise views and arrange timely transfers and morning call too...

Alisan is a scenic spot in this part of Taiwan but not much frequented by tourists from Europe or North America. Most facilities in the area are primarily geared to cater for Asian tourists. Alishan is the only accommodation there with facilities suited to tourists who are used to more upscale amenities. The hotel has an older section; in fact...

I stayed here twice. First trip with bf and the other with my parents. I got rooms at different wings of the hotel: first time was at the new building and the last time was at the old building. Both are equally good but just have different feel (modern vs vintage). I think the hotel staff really attend to our...

When I arrived, it felt pretty good as the enviroment and room was good. However, the amount of tourists soon became a problem as I could not dine in peace nor get food without squeezing with the large tour groups. The slow food supply did not help. If you are staying here, I would advice taking the bus out to...
