Had a great time, accommodations were excellent. Conveniently located, easy to book on line, short notice. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean, warm and friendly staff. Made the family feel very welcomed.

Stayed for one night at the JM Lodge whilst visiting Kings Canyon. We couldn't have picked a more perfect location! Nestled amongst the giant trees, sun shining, perfect room and a quaint cabin common room. After exploring for the afternoon, we got ourselves a couple of local beers from the Grant Cove Village shop and watched the sunset on the...

We were so pleased and fortunate during the rough fire to stay at John Muir Lodge and enjoy the proximity to Grant Tree, Big Stumps Trail, Panoramic Point and more. It was convenient to great vistas and big trees. The Lodge is in a perfect setting, yet close to all needed amenities. Although our visit was cut one day short...

The National Forest Rangers risk their lives in forest fires. This fire was horrendously hot because of the drought. More is to come. Protect our National Forests. The employees kept us safe and aware of any dangers.

Welcoming people at the reception, very nice and clean room, great location even though half the park was close because of a big fire alert. We initially booked 2 nights but because of the fire we decided to stay only one night and the personnel was very sympathetic. No in-room wifi.

Overall good experience fors us we got a free upgrade to the lodge while we had booked cabins. Pretty comfortable and spacious with a very decent restaurant serving breakfast and tasty dinners. The place for check-in and shop/ restaurant is a few meters away from the lodge itself so a bit confusing when you arrive at first but then it's...

My wife and I spent two nights at John Muir Lodge. The accommodations were very good with some nice rustic touches to the furniture. The highlights, however, were a storyteller on Wednesday evening, seeing deer on the way up to Panorama Point and at General Grant tree, and the General Grant tree walk. One of the general store staff, Kyle...

We booked a room for four people, and got a room with only a king. When we went to check in, we were told that the office is back at the Visitor's Center. Not a long drive, but it would've been better if it wasn't pouring rain. The Wi-Fi was good in the lobby, but nowhere else. Their lobby/sitting room...

Pleasant and comfortable room. Short walk to restaurant, grocery and gift shop and visitors center. Comfortable bed. Quiet at night. Large lounge (reading area etc.) on ground floor. Great place to chat with friends or to meet fellow travelers. Short hike (1 mile or so) to Sequoia grove from hotel. Longer hike with Panoramic view of Kings Canyon and Sequoia.

This is a good, clean lodge (nothing fancy) that is convenient for the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. You have to check in down the street at the building that has the restaurant and gift store (there is no front desk in the building). It's all within Grant Grove village. No AC, but it's cool at night, so no...
