We stayed at Azalea the beginning of April. There was still snow and much of the campground was still closed. We arrived before noon and found two spots perfect for our 29' RV's. The campground was walking distance from both the Visitor Center and the General Grant Tree (which was a great short hike). We drove to Sequioa one day...

Site 64.... big rocks, trees, no one behind us except a gorgeous sunset. Nice tent spot. I agree with all the previous positive reviews. Love National Parks and this campground in October is super. Some good spots for small RVs and tents.

Pick your own spot for tent or RV camping for budget price. Some spots more level than others. Peaceful and beautiful among the trees. Bathroom facilities (no shower) are clean. Fire rings available. Heed cautions about bears. Close to in-park market.

I thought this campground was great. Went on a non-holiday weekend, and was able to find a site at around 11:30 a.m. if we had gotten there a couple hrs later, we orobably wouldnt have found a site. We had plenty of shade. We went to the nearest lake, im blanking on the name, it is about a 10-15 minute...

Getting into Sequoia National Park cost are car load $30.00. The entry fee was good for a week and included both the Kings Canyon and Sequoia national Parks. We arrived on a Tuesday, planning on spending 2 nights at Azalea. We went mid-week hoping to avoid the crowds and get a decent campsite. We did some prior research and were...

I always enjoy camping here. But avoid in summer months as it's filled with families and people who aren't backpackers and don't respect the rules in nature! I have my favorite spots. I've stayed here at least half a dozen times and it's taken a little while to figure out the best spots. But some spots are much better than...

This is a great place to camp. Spaces for RVs and tents. Not always the most even spots but if you circle around you may get lucky. Dry camping but you do have water close by and many restrooms if you're tent camping. Nice place. Cell reception for Verizon users. Lots of deer come right through the sites. Beautiful place.

Is a normal place for camping. There are lot of places In hills so is almost impossible make a tent. There are no showers in the camp the closets one is 25 minutes driving and you must pay USD$4 for 5 minutes.

We arrived around 11am on a Thursday afternoon in late July. There were plenty of open spaces, but many of the good ones with flat areas for tent set-up and plenty of shade had already been taken up. After circling the campground for about 20 minutes we lucked out and found campsite #4. This was a spacious campsite bordered by...

My 11 & 14 year old daughters and I just returned from a 4-day camping trip. I was a bit apprehensive about driving 5 hours to a non-reserved campsite, but the Ranger station had advised me beforehand that arriving on a Thursday afternoon should pose no problem with obtaining a site at Azalea. They were correct. We arrived around 4pm...
