Great campground. So quiet, and good sized. Hiking trails close by, and easy to get in and out of. Ours was along a creek (would be a river in Spring). Lots of swimming holes to cool off in, and huge rocks to climb up on and nap. On the down side, to campground is really large, and we were far...

We really liked the tranquility of the campground and the stunning nature around it. Hiking trails are close by so you can really jump into action the next morning. Camping spots are spacious and nicely equipped with a table, fireplace and an "anti-bear" storage box. The only real downside was a freezing temperature which during the night fell to a...

Had a rain storm Sat. night that was amazing, didnt last long but was VERY cool. great camping neighbors, planning our return trip for May next year right now!! Although the website was showing our loop sold out it was fairly empty all 3 nights (we were in 25-28) which was really great.

We really enjoyed this campground and its location. Sites were large and had nice firepits and picnic tables. The only complaint and only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they don't have an on-site host like we did in Yosemite. And if they did, we didn't know about it. There was a very large group camp 2...

lodgepole is probably one of the best campgrounds for families! it always has the most bear activity which is great to see, clean bathrooms, trail heads that start in the campground, and the marketplace is very accomodating with clean showers. It can be a little loud at night because your not as secluded as other campgrounds but have always met...

My family and I came to camp at Lodgepole for only 2 nights, because it was all that was (luckily) available for this time of year. I had always wanted to stay here, but as the time got closer and after reading the reviews (about bears!) I almost cancelled, from getting so freaked out!! Lol... But we never saw even...

Beautiful site on the river! Lodgepole campground is spread out, our site was right on the river within a short walk - 1/4 mile from the general store, visitor center and showers. The pay showers are fine. There is a shuttle that can take you to most of the park destinations. Since we had our dog with us - we...

This campground is amazing. Been going since I was a kid and finally made it back with my own children. It was just as great as I remembered. Ranger programs, deer walking through campground, squirrels, hubby and son saw 3 bears on a hike. Flush toilets, pay showers at market area, very helpful Park Rangers in the campground that did...

Great campground. It was HUGE, but it didn't sound like it was huge. Very unique setting on the side of a hill rather than in a flat valley like others. The only negative was since it was so big the bathrooms were far away.

In the midst of Summer, an escape into the mountains of the Sequoia national park is wonderful. The park is very well kept and managed. Lodgepole is a good place to stay. The higher the number of your camp site, the farther you are from the central facilities (grocery store, shuttle stop, showers) but the quieter it is. The tent...
