This is not a 5-star resort, nor an antique luxury lodge as in some other national parks. It's quite lovely due to its setting and is comfortable enough. No usable wifi, but the rooms have TV. No choice but to eat in the restaurant, which is adequate and fine. The staff is not well-trained and service is slow and spotty,...

Thank you for your review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you got to take a tour with Paul. He use to be a server at a lodge when the lodge first opened. I guess he just couldn't leave the mountain. We hope that you arrived to your next destination safely and that...

We were very dissatisfied with our stay. We understood that the lodge was undergoing renovation but the room was not clean and very shabby. The meal we had in the restaurant was unpleasant. Both water glasses we dirty with dried orange juice pulp in one and something floating in the other! The order for our food was mixed up and...

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us and I deeply apologize that in your experience we fell very short. I have passed this along to the management team and it will be used to better our services.

We spent 4 nights and 5 days here. No cell reception really so we were really happy to get away as a family. We played monopoly at night and toured the park's attractions during the day. The breakfast was included for us and was a buffet each morning with a nice selection. The dinners were varied and although their were...

If you want to stay in the park at a beautiful place then this is where you want to be. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly, helpful and makes you want to be there. Dinner and breakfast was reasonably priced in a nice dining room. Still had 3-4 feet of snow on the...

Beautiful lodge & great rooms for a family "glamping" trip to Sequoia NP. Super clean, great staff, awesome dining. The surrounding grounds are great to walks & even snowplay. Nice size refrigerator in the room so you can bring cold items to help feed the fam for breakfast & lunch. Lodgepole is super close too with a great market &...

My wife and I spent three nights at the lodge in March. You just can't beat the location for access to the top places to visit within Sequoia National Park. The Giant Forest is minutes away (do not fail to experience Moro Rock!) and the Grant Tree area is a nice 25 mile drive to the north. Our room was...

Thank you for your review. I apologize for your noisey neighbors and hope that you did reach out to the front desk to make a call to the room above you. We hope you return someday.

The best thing about the lodge is it's location within Sequoia National Park. It takes a good hour to hour and a half from the entrance to the park to get to the lodge and the General Sherman takes a little more than an hour to get to from the entrance so the lodge puts you right at most of...

I really enjoyed my stay here - the staff was so incredibly friendly, it really made the difference! The food at the restaurant was also amazing, and just being in the lodge was so beautiful - short drive to all the hikes we wanted to do too! My only complaint is the beds - they are TERRIBLE. I could not...

We booked this hotel through Travelocity and paid full price and when we arrived the halls were concrete --- The facility is under construction until May 2017. The hotel itself is gorgeous and in the heart of the national park. The food is excellent and really the only place to eat. The staff were ok -- We arrived at midnight...

Dear Guest, Thank you for forgiving us on our remodel process. I deeply apologize for the disorganized server that took care of you but I'm grateful that you found the food worth it. I have forwarded your comments onto the General Manager and the dept. managers of those who affected your experience. I do appreciate your candor and hope that...

the rooms themselves are slightly dated, and nothing to write home about, but that's not why you stay here! the views are magnificent. and you're right in the park. perfect for 2-3 days/nights there. beware, the lodge is about an hour drive into the park from the front gate, uphill. but the drive is spectacular. so many s-curves, its crazy!...
