It was last month that my friend & I stayed at the Wuksachi Lodge. We had a couple of issues with our room and the management and front desk staff went absolutely above and beyond to resolve our issues. What an absolute pleasure they were, attentive and accommodating. We would like to thank especially the General Manager, Brett Archer for his professional manner and his personal handwritten note of apology, Incredible! The front desk staff was also so very accommodating and understanding. Thanks Michelle and Brennan! Can’t wait to return to this fabulous lodge✨
Location was amazing. Rooms are comfortable. My issues that lowered my rating were check in with only one agent at the desk and the line out the door and the poor lighting in the parking lot and up to the buildings. It was very difficult to find our building then to have to use a luggage cart on a poorly paved walkway with no lights was very hard. Come on.
Sequoia Building room, furniture, fixtures and services need major upgrades, especially if said venue wish to exist in mid/high end market. Can’t recommend b/c we won’t return! Broken lamps, rusted sink/shower, etc.
After reading a number of poor to average reviews prior to our visit, my expectations were pretty low. Have to say, Wuksachi exceeded my expectations. Our standard room in the Stewart Bldg was nice, clean, roomy, internet and had all of the amenities we would expect plus a refrig in the room. The staff were accommodating, not real special in any specific way but polite and attentive. My only possible and not firm criticism was the food and menu choices. The choices were minimal, pizza, salads, sandwiches, plus some other higher-end specials. The menu was fine with us. We didn't go for anything close to fine dining and were able to have some good food at reasonable prices We didn't try breakfast but it looked the best vs the lunch & dinner menus.
For the price, this hotel was sub-standard. The customer service folks were fine but the facilities are poor. What is up with the National Park Service hotels? Why do they have to be so bad? The room was filthy. Found used towels, pet food and other debris on the carpet, No air conditioning. Terrible water pressure in the shower and faucet. No coffee machine. No microwave. No refrigerator. Furniture, fixtures, carpet were all old.
