What little there is on the first weekend in January. Close to the visitor's center. Two queen beds, mini fridge, coffee maker. Clean room and bathroom. Hot shower. After a day of hiking and a cave tour, it ain't bad, but it ain't no hotel. Don't be fooled by the name. The Fetching Mrs. Rat and I enjoyed it. On...

Picture an old-time motor inn, where you can drive right up to your door. This hotel is not fancy in any sense of the word. But it is decent, fairly clean and located right in the Mammoth Cave NP. You are easy walking distance to the visitors center which is the jumping off point for all the guided park tours....

Since we stayed off-season, the only accommodations that were open were four rooms in the main building. The cabins looked like they would be a nice alternative. The rooms were average, national park facility rooms. We ate at the restaurant both nights and the food is typical American food. The waitstaff was very friendly.

We stayed in the cabins and really enjoyed our stay! It was great to be so close to the cave entrance. We were able to relax and enjoy some unplugged time. The restaurant was fantastic! Try the cherry preserves!!

The hotel is dated but in a pleasant way. It was clean and quiet, and the setting is without equal. An array of scenic trails ensure a morning walk won't be forgotten. The restaurant, and caverns, are within easy walking distance.

We stayed in one of the sunset terrace rooms. This is an old style motel set up, with a row of rooms with outside doors. It is set away from the main lodge, closer to the woods. The rooms have recently been redone and are very clean and well appointed. When we visited, it was not a busy time and...

The location couldn't have been better, right across the parking lot from the visitor center with access to most of the trail by foot. These also offer a great view of the stars from the parking lot or the picnic area. The website info was wrong on many counts and quite outdated, such as it said that all the restaurants...

We loved being able to stay inside the park- we literally parked our car and walked to the visitor center and cave tours, which are very close by. We stayed in cabin 6 which was very cozy and quiet, and the cabins are set apart from the main hotel area. The cabin had AC, a fridge, coffee maker, ceiling fan,...

We stayed at the cottages at Mammoth Cave and although they are old, they were very clean and very comfortable. Air conditioning was available but we preferred to open our windows to enjoy the cool night air. We were pleased to find a refrigerator in our cottage. It was wonderful being right at the park for our tour. The only...

We chose to stay in the Woodland Cabins, mainly because we thought the other parts of the hotel were too expensive for what you get. I knew that the cabins did not have air conditioning. A few days before we were to arrive I received a call from the hotel saying that it was expected to be in the 30's...
