We stayed at the Manzanita cabins #3, because of the Sunset Magazine article. The resort lived up to it's Sunset recommendation and then some. The staff are exceptional - every single person we dealt with from the National Park Ranger for the campfire program to the checkin staff and deli/store persons - absolutely great. They were all over the top...

Loved having the roof over our heads and locking door, bear box, access to full store (with sandwiches, good coffee, most typical forgotten supplies), coin-op showers, washing machines. Felt very safe and laid back. Quiet! Beds are fine, very long so fitted twin sheets won't fit the bunks, bring flat queen or king. Cabin heater actually got very hot quickly....

Stayed here for 2 nights in cabin #6 at the end of August. We were two couples and found the cabin spacious enough to sleep, and the second room with the table, chairs and futon, give you enough space to sit around without feeling cramped. The location is great, just by the lake. Although you don't necessarily have a direct...

The cabin we got is a 8 people cabin with bunk beds. The space is pretty small for 8 people and there is no sitting area inside the cabin. It literally only has (8) bunk beds inside and a small bookshelf by the window. However, this didn't bother us too much as we have the entire park in the backyard....

It is always wonderful to stay within a National Park, and Lassen is comparatively uncrowded. The cabins are simple, a nice place to sleep, with common bathrooms and water sources a bit of a walk like any campground. The lake is small and lovely, great swimming at the end of August, beautiful reflections of the mountain, nice for night photography....

My son and I recently spent 2 nights in the Manzanita Lake camping cabins. It was very basic, but it satisfied our needs. It was very clean, reasonably priced, and had a small store, flush toilets (near the store), and showers. The bed was quite firm and took a bit of getting used to, although they do warn you about...

We had only 24 hours in Lassen Volcanic National Park, and stayed in these cabins so that we would not have to drive to the closest town. We really liked these cabins. We needed the heater and it worked very well. The campground smelled of campfire, and was a really nice experience. We walked to the nearby amphitheatre for a...

“Get a cabin closest to store, it has real bathrooms. Others are pit toilets w/out lights/windows, so you need a flashlight during the day.”
