What a beautiful campground. The location couldn’t be any better, as it was in the middle of the Joshua national tree park. There are many spots and all provided with a barbecue and a picknicktable. We arrived there in the morning at 11 (half august) and there were plenty of spots left. We loved the sunrises and sunsets. The red...

We stayed here in August and it wasn't full so lovely and quiet. For those who don't know the US camping system works......you rock up and look for an empty camp spot, go back to the entrance and fill in the form in the box with the site number and put your money in the envelope (make sure you have...

***Camping with an RV at Jumbo Rocks Review*** We pulled into this National Park on a whim in October of 2016 on a Sunday afternoon, and were directed to Jumbo Rocks campground by one of the rangers. We have a 32ft fifth wheel and a long bed truck, and headed in through the West Entrance Station (we were driving eastbound...

We had a great time. Clean and well maintained. We had another family with us and grabbed #'s 28 and 29. This worked out well. If you have a larger group this section would be perfect with 30 and 31 as they are kind of all together. If you want more privacy there were other sites that provided. Pit toilets...

It was a bit tricky to find a spot when we arrived at midnight. We had to drive around the loops for about 15 minutes, and because the spot numbers are a bit small we had to shine the flashlight around to see/find them. But after that, we got set up and the next morning woke up to a beautiful...

Incredible place to stay whilst in Joshua tree national park! No phone service and no wifi ensures you will communicate as a family! Watch the stars at night then the sunrise in the morning. Nature at its best!

Plan on not sleeping at this popular campground. I'd prefer to stay up all night and watch the stars than have rude, noisy neighbors force you out of your tent. When the ranger is away, sometimes chaos will play. On our weekend there were at least three rowdy groups keeping campers up all night. But with great luck you'll not...

Pitch your tent late afternoon, take a hike, make dinner and then put a blanket on a rock to watch the stars. You won't be disapointed. We certainly weren't. But don't forget to bring water and plenty of sunscreen. And say hi to the chipmunks that roam the rocks in morning.

I've been to Joshua Tree a few times and it's great. There are only a few weeks during the Fall and Spring that I like to go due to the extreme temperatures but other than that, it's a great place to camp. Hiking around and watching the rock climbers is my usual day's adventure. Very laid back and it's easy...

Great campground with plenty of spaces and privacy given the close proximity. Fire rings and BBQ grill grates at each spot. Very well kept toilet (holes) nearby stocked with plenty of TP, which is appreciated! Thank you NPS for that convenience. The terrain is awesome. You can leave camp and wander around on any of the rocks. This campground is...
