The lodge offers affordable accommodation in the park. Room is basic and the bathroom not that great - a bit cramped. The mattress was worn out and needs replacement. The room was pleasantly warm as it was freezing outside. Dining options limited to the standard fast food rubbish which you find in these type of places. Priced in line with...

We stayed in the cabins and I was initially worried about doing this because of some negative reviews...but found the cabin perfectly acceptable... Nothing fancy, but clean and convenient...and well-heated (which was a good thing given an April snowstorm). Good value. (We also parked right outside our cabin and could leave our car in that convenient location for our whole...

Actual buildings are a 3 star but the location is a solid 4! It was a 4 minute walk to the rim but I enjoyed being away a little further away since I could let the kids wander to cafeteria whenever they wanted without being worried that they might walk down a trail. Xanterra people are very nice even when...

We stayed in a 2nd level north room in the Maswik lodge with two queens. We were one of the buildings further back, so we had the forest behind us which was a nice view out the window. The room was more spacious than I expected and the mini fridg was a bonus. The bathroom was clean and updated with...

We booked a package trip to the Grand Canyon which included a train ride from Williams, AZ. To the Grand Canyon with an overnight stay at the Maswik Lodge and return trip to Williams, AZ. It was well worth the cost. We had a great time. The facilities at both places were excellent, the food at the dining lodges was...

If you're like me and wear flip flops in a motel room, you might appreciate this review; if you're like the rest of my family and flop on motel bedspreads with nary a care, you'll just roll your eyes. I wore my flip flops inside our Maswik Lodge room. The carpet looked tired and worn. I slept with only the...

We stayed at Maswik as part of the Grand Canyon Railway package. We weren't given a choice of hotels or rooms but obviously had one of the better rooms with two queen beds a desk and two chairs. It was a one story building but it was a short walk to the main room and food. The food is described...

This was my first visit to the Grand Canyon. I took the Grand Canyon Train from Williams, AZ and stayed the night in the park at this ldoge. PROS: The lodge is near the canyon-- within a good 10 minute walk. It is also on the route for the free shuttle bus that goes throughout the Grand Canyon park. The...

We did the cheaper option at the Lodge.... something like $96. There are two sets of buildings with rates almost double at the more expensive, which looked more modern and have more amenities. But we were not here for luxury! Our room perfectly met our needs. Coffee and teas plus refrigerator. A table and a desk. Plenty of room to...

We spent two nights at the lodge. We were able to walk to the rim but the park has excellent bus routes that are color coded. The cafeteria offered a variety of food. The room was clean and comfortable for a national park. It would be nice to have Wi-Fi in the rooms.
