We had a standard lodge room with private bathroom. Be aware that the lodges and cabins are "historic" and not in a good way. The walls were thin and noise was easily heard between rooms. Carpeting and bed coverings were very worn and appeared "historic" themselves. The room was very small and accommodated a full bed and twin bed with...

We stayed at the Bright Angel Lodge and LOVED it. It's right not the south rim of the grand canyon. Just spectacular. It's not fancy, so if you need fancy - go to neighboring El Tovar. We loved the history of the place, the simplicity, the location. The price was very fair. It's near restaurants, an ice cream place and...

What a wonderful trip. We stayed in a Rim Cabin w/Partial View. The cabin was quite clean and adorable actually. Glad we waited to visit the Grand Canyon until we could reserve this cabin with the view, as I believe it wouldn't have been as pleasurable. The staff at check-in couldn't have been a nicer group as well.

We have stayed at the rim cabin, and they are worth every dollar. Allthough little small for three, they are so close to the rim it is amazing. They have everything you need, not in a fancy style but efficient on.

We stayed in one of the cabins with our own bathroom. I don't think I would want to be wandering around in the dark looking for a shared bathroom. The room was quaint and basic. Our room had a joining door to the cabin next door so could hear our neighbours, not only talking but walking across their squeaky floors....

The Lodge is historically and architecturally very interesting and certainly worth a visit if you're already on South Rim of GC. However, my family spent a night in two adjoining rooms/suite in the Powell Lodge and it failed at the most basic level: a good nights sleep. The heating systems chirped and squeaked intermittently throughout the night, preventing a good...

We were in the Powell lodge; no canyon views, but literally a one minute walk from the rim. Rooms were basic, but we had a cool claw-foot tub that was probably original to the building. There are no TVs, no air conditioning, and no coffee makers in the rooms. However, we felt it was worth it to have great views...

We had spent the day at the Grand Canyon and were looking for dining. El Tolivar lodge restaurant had open reservations at 9:30PM. Noted a sign by the Gift shop for Arizona Room Restaurant. Checked with the hotel desk who informed me the Arizona room was at Bright Angel Lodge and no reservations are taken. It first come first served....

We stay in the cabins that have a partial view of the Canyon. Bottom line, you can't beat looking out your window and seeing the Canyon. The cabins are located uphill of the main walkway, so you don't tend to see the people walking by, and it stays quieter. Great location without a doubt. Note that only a few rooms...

We are a family of 6 with children ages 8, 10, 14, and 16. We stayed in two cabins with partial canyon views. Amazing! Couldn't get any close to the rim! Loved the location and views. The two cabins had an adjoining door, which was great. Cabins are small but clean and you are there for the location. If you...
