I stayed here as part of a tour of the National Parks. We stayed in the cabins which were close to the rim. Pulling up to the front of the lodge you are struck by the history of it. To the left of the lodge entrance is a small bar/saloon and a post office window. To the right there was...

This was one of the items I have wanted to see ever since we visited the south rim. I am glad we came, but have no desire to return. We stayed in a rustic log cabin and enjoyed the scenic views and the drives.

We stayed in a Frontier Cabin because that was all that was available. There are dozens of these tiny little duplex cabins. Our cabin had a single bed, double bed, desk, and a small bathroom. There was barely room to move around. The lighting was so bad that we had to use a flashlight to see anything. There was a...

This was a true log cabin, a "Pioneer Cabin," -- small, cozy, and romantic! We loved it. Partial view of the Canyon from a window next to our bed! Unlike other reviews, our cabin (#95) was clean and warm -- I suspect one reviewer did not realize there was a heater in the wall that worked quickly and well. When...

if you have a choice between the two rims, the north is by far the most scenic, plus the lodge sits right on the edge. We lingered over lunch and ate extra just to stretch out the delight of view. The food made that easy to do.

Stayed in a rim side western cabin. These cabins are the best the north rim has to offer and the rim view made it even a little nicer. Only complaint was very little hot water. When I mentioned it the next morning, there was no offer for any type of compensation, but we did see maintenance looking at it before...

This review is for a Pioneer Cabin. I have to spend the night here and honestly would rather sleep in the car. The cabin is absolutely filthy. There are large black stains all over the carpet that have to be mold, mouse traps laid in the corners, spider webs everywhere, crumbs on the futon, bottle caps from a previous occupant...

This is a beautiful place to stay. the cabins are small but comfortable. The main lodge is beautiful with views of the Grand Canyon. The food in the lodge was very good and reasonably priced. The cabins are a little pricy but worth the stay on the rim of the canyon. There are several hiking trails and overlooks that are...

My experience is with the Frontier cabins and hotel rooms. The lodge itself is a splendid snapshot into lodge history. There is a viewing room with 6-8 comfy leather couches and a huge picture window. The outdoor viewing patio has a dozen or so wooden chairs lined up along the rock edge. Since these areas are open to the public,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The more remote North Rim offers up its beauty and solitude to those willing to make a little longer trek to cooler temperatures and greener vegetation of the Grand Canyon's less visited rim. Time means little here in this Nirvana for nature lovers…abundant forest beauty and wrap-around scenic splendor as sheer walls hold in the Colorado River a mile below. The only developed lodging within the National Park’s North Rim boundaries this historic treasure has cabins and lodging tucked into the trees and dotting the canyon edge. The historic dining room with wall to ceiling windows gives diners the unique opportunity to take in the Canyon's views and tasteful regional and sustainable delights for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended. For guests seeking a unique remembrance of their visit to this special place, there is a gift store and convenience store located at the North Rim. Authentic Native American handcrafts, jewelry and merchandise that is U.S.A. made by local and regional artists provide an array of gift items for guests to the Grand Canyon. Smell the pines, listen to the fluttering leaves of quaking aspen, and keep an eye out for a California condor, the largest bird in North America.
