We stayed here for a night and the room was nice and cozy. Great that there was coffee and tea in the room since it was snowing outside. You don't need a room with a view here. We were on the ground floor facing the street and that too was a pretty good view. 20 steps out of your room...

We spent a lot of time planning our trip the the Grand Canyon. We weren't sure if it was worth the effort to keep trying for a room on the rim versus staying at the Maswik. I think it was worth it. We ended up getting a canyon side room at the last minute. It certainly wasn't as important as...

I was very lucky to find a room at thunderbird lodge when I planned the trip just a month ago. Usually the rooms are sold out. If you want to stay there, book earlier. The room is clean and comfortable. Next to the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, we got snow the day we arrived. It was cold outside. So we stayed...

We stayed two nights at the lodge and found it comfortable, clean and so convenient. Our room had a view of the canyon and we stepped right out to the South rim trail. The beds were super comfortable. There is in room coffee service and a mini fridge. Everything in the bathroom was modern and clean. Ample soap and lotion...

Loved staying in the park at the Thunderbird. Our room overlooked the Canyon. Needed a bit refreshing, but the room was clean and comfortable. We were on a Caravan Tour and had an excellent BBQ dinner prepared by El Tovar Restaurant Staff and served at the Conference Room at Thunderbird. The breakfast buffet was just as good. Breakfast t the...

There were two things I loved about this lodge. One, it's very old. So the walls are made of brick. Which makes the room very quiet. Two, the location. We were right in the middle of the Village. Close to everything. The rooms at the Grand Canyon are not cheap, but we loved being there before the train and other...

Straightforward motel building which has relatively recently renovated rooms. Very convenient with fabulous views. Bright Angel Lodge and Restaurant a few steps to you left and a few steps forward, you are peering over the Rim!

The rooms are as bare-bones and tiny as everyone has said, and the hallways feel very 1960s. The doors and walls are thin, so someone leaves their room at 5am and you feel like the door just slammed right next to your ear. There's not much in the way of amenities, although the rooms do have small fridges and there's...

Firstly, the hotel itself is VERY dated with carpets that look straight out of Mad Men. The rooms are nothing special but do offer a fridge, a comfy bed and a consistent shower. If you get a parking spot anywhere near the hotel, treasure it and don’t leave it. Remember you have to check in to the Bright Angel Lodge...

Just looking back, I realize that every morning I wake up to a large picture of the Grand Canyon that I shot just after sunrise because we stayed there-Fantastic! Worth it to roll out of bed & pad along the canyon rim in your slippers!
