Once again as at Yosemite, chosing the outlying camp site from the village one offers the best of both experiences. The East Desert View campsite still offers a gas station, market place, gift shop/snack bar and the Desert View Watchtower within a 5 minute walk...More

Hello, There is mention of showers available at visitor center 15-20 walk away. In researching I've only discovered the nearest showers are at Mather campground 26 miles west inside the park. Can you please clarify? Thank you in so much.

Hi! I am planning a one night stay at the Desert View campground. I am wondering how to secure a space? Do I need to leave a tent or the car at the space? I am scared it could be stolen if I do, or the space taken if I drive away. I would appreciate some help as I know little about camping :(
