We had a lovely two night stay here. We managed to get a site on the outside of one of the loops which was huge and very peaceful amongst lots of trees so it was fairly private and not too close or far from the bathroom. We could also walk to catch the shuttle bus easily. Staff were friendly and...

We stayed at this campground #292 over memorial day weekend for 2 nights, and had a good experience. Our spot was pretty secluded/spacious with no one behind us. The bathrooms were clean, showers were great for $2, and the store near the visitor center was awesome. The store was like a REI with groceries. Don't stress if you forget anything...

We visited on our honeymoon! The campground was spacious and accommodating with restrooms, laundry, and showers. There was a shuttle bus stop at entrance of campground that took you on the blue route. This takes you to the visitor center where you can get onto the orange route and go out hiking or sight seeing.

My sons and I camped at Mather Campground for 3 nights. It was easy to find and we were excited to see elk right in the campground! The campsites were clean as were the bathrooms. The showers on the other hand could use some scrubbing bubbles. Just wear flip flops and try not to touch the walls. It was a...

It took two days of 11 hr driving from Houston to the canyon. I have a pop up that I pulled along, it was our 3 week camping road trip with my daughter and my niece. Upon arrival, after checking in with the booths at the entrance, we drove to our campsite, parked our camper in place only to find...

While on a cross country road trip, my boyfriend and I planned to visit the Grand Canyon. While searching for a place to stay, we chose Mather Campground, right outside the south rim of the canyon. We arrived at the campground around 8:30 pm and the host was already off duty. We were given directions to call a hotline and...

If you go there you need to do a reservation! This is the owesome place. Sometimes musees are coming inside the campground. The only one bad thing is amount of camping places. They are not enough. Don't forget to make a reservation before you go here.

Stayed here with a group of 11 and we had such a great time. The fact that this campground has showers was wonderful! We played hard and the shuttle bus system they have was great for getting around. Would totally camp here again!

We stayed at the Mather Campground in June 2015 for 4 nights. The camping accommodations and restrooms (toilets only) were nice and what you would expect to find in a typical campground. Our campsite was quiet and clean. I didn't like two things, one the only showers were so far away from the camp sites (and they were pretty dirty....

We were in campsite #195. The site is large, but we had a tree on the opposite side of the road which made it difficult to back into our driveway. This site did not have a lot of shade and a trail to the restrooms went right by where we put up our large tent. The reason I gave it...
