Very clean and organized. The bathrooms and showers were clean, that's important to me. We were in campsite 217 on Oak loop- very spacious and a great location. Close enough to bathroom, but not too close. My only gripe would be that the firewood was a bit expensive from the general store, but not sure where you could get it...

Recently stayed at Group Campground (Sage Loop) in April. Mather Campground is so close to South Rim of Grand Canyon you can walk there. Or, you can take the FREE bus every 15 minutes from bus stop located just a 100 yards from entrance to camp ground. Bus stops everywhere you want to go along South Rim. And, if you...

This is a nice campground very near to the canyon. Affordable, clean and relatively quiet. Could use more showers nearer to each loop but all in all a nice place to stay. It was very windy and cold here during our vacation. Check out the annual weather forecast before coming and be prepared for anything, wind, sun, rain, etc. We...

Good campground, well maintained, clean toilets facilities which were heated and well lit which was great on a cold night. Shower block and laundry close by a couple of hundred yards away. Campground has picnic tables, fire pit and separate grille.

Stayed for 3 nights (tent camping). The campground is great, although reservations are recommended. The bathrooms are nice (and heated) the dish cleaning sink by our site was broken. The showers could be improved. They cost $2.00 for 8 min and you have very little space. No bears, but the ravens are obnoxious and aggressive (keep your site clean). The...

My DH and I stayed at the Mather Campground on Sunday, March 26th, 2017. We tent camped for one night. There were a few other tent campers with us and the place was clean and quiet. It was bitter cold at night got down to 30 degrees so we were wishing for Spring weather but everything about our stay was...

We stayed here whilst visiting the grand canyon for 4 days. The camp site is in a great location to get to the visitor centre and transport. There are plenty of pitches but none are full or partial hook up. There is another site with full hookup up but that is booked from a very early time. You can walk...

Book ahead of time--we just happened to find this spot at the last minute but I would not recommend doing this if you can help it. The campground is massive and there are tons of people there, but the bathrooms are clean and we did not get eaten by a bear. There is a fire ring and grate for cooking,...

We've camped quite a bit over the last ten years and have never stayed a nicer place. The grounds were spotless and our site was huge--we loved that visitors to the park weren't stacked on top of one another. Everything we needed was within easy reach.

This was a great Campsite! Located at the end of the Pine Loop, there is lots of privacy and ability to have space from others. There are a few trees close enough for hammocks and several spots to pitch your tent. It is a close walk (5-10 minutes) to the Marketplace where you can get any groceries and gear, as...
