Doubtful, but cancellations do happen. You can view availability on the grandcanyonlodges website.

There was a picnic table by our cabin as well as a couple of them near the Canteen. I don’t immediately recall seeing a grill. We are our meals in the canteen.

Very hot. Rim is a bit cooler but it progressively gets hotter as you go down the trail. No shade in general throughout the trail except for at Indian Gardens.
