To call this place a campground is inaccurate. It is actually a parking lot where you rent a space for $18. It's a small parking lot, jammed together. No trees. No fire pit. No privacy. We could hear a Russian guy watching YouTube all night that is how close the tents are together. Avoid at all costs!!

After a long hard day out in the valley, the sites and sounds of Furnace Creek are a welcome site. The resort has an outdoor natural heated pool, golf course and many activities to keep you entertained. Expect amenities to keep comfortable. Don't expect the TajMahal. This is one of the best resorts in the valley. Highly recommend .

My brother and I stayed at furnace creek resort for two nights while hiking through death Valley national park over Thanksgiving week. The rooms are OK. There's clearly a premium on the price you pay just because they are one of the few lodgings within the park. Expected a lot more for a place where you pay close to $300...

It was tough to make reservations, had to call back when the person wasn't at lunch. This happened when I stayed there previously, and then they still screwed it up. This time it was correct. Grouchy desk people made it a pain to check in and check out. Apparently it blows their mind if the husband and wife have different...

We camped with a tent at Fiddlers Campground in Furnace Creek. They gave us site #2 but when we got to the campground, there was a stage put up there. We went back to the office and she seemed bewildered and finally said we could camp anywhere. We went back and found a great site at the back of campground...

This hotel is basic but is fascinating with old original stables and a ranch. Towels, toiletries and iron included. Beautifully situated in the heart of Death Valley.... It was clean and the bedsheets were of okay quality. Staff were always happy and pleased to see you.

We arrived at the RV Park and I went to check in, only to be asked for ID. At no time during the previous 5 weeks had we been asked for ID at a site as we were part of an organised tour. While I had been in the reception area, my husband had been "ordered" to move the RV...

When compared to the lodging at the Grand Canyon, which I think are like staying at a bunker, the rooms at Furnace Creek resort were much nicer. It was nice to have a balcony, but if I stayed again, I would ask for a room facing the outside. My room faced another building so my view was limited to people...

Strange place overall, halfway between a motel and a holiday camp. No safe in the room, limited dining options, including a 'steakhouse' doubling as the breakfast buffet but with booth seating held together by copious amounts of duct tape. Owned by the same chain (Xanterra) as El Tovar at the Grand Canyon. These people need to reinvest some of their...
