We had two adjoining rooms in the 800 building. The hotel is a quaint hotel. It has that old world lodge-y feel. The rooms are clean and spacious and offer a fridge in each one. The rooms also had a terrace with two rocking chairs. The rooms are not fancy or recently updated, but they are very nice. The bathrooms...

For the Ranch - Motel 6, Super 8 quality with Hilton prices. But that's because there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place. It's got the best location. A bag of ice was $5 in their C-store. Only $3 over at Stovepipe wells, and $2 anywhere near civilization. Just an example. Their gas was over $4 when...

We had a 3 night stay at the Ranch during our visit to Death Valley. The location puts you near most of the sights you want to see during a visit to this national park. However, the Ranch is long overdue for an update and the entire facility needs serious attention. The WiFi is terrible and there is no plan...

Booked this from home (the UK) it is quite expensive to stay (check their site for up to date costs) it does have a 'ranchy' feel to it but also a campsite feel too. There's the ubiquitous gift shop but we bought nothing. A restaurant/bar there serves decent food and though i can't recall how much it was, the staff...

I have stayed here twice. Great place ,great location, peace and quite. Restaurant is very good and the store has everything you could want. Plenty of walks and lots to do and see. Swimming pool onsite.

Food choice in the bar never changes and is rather anemic , although there is a fair range of beers . Chicken tenders for me - must be the lowest quality in the US , almost devoid of chicken all for $12!!! No fee Wifi. Xanterra operates here so I would expect to be fleeced !

As we approached our assigned hotel unit, horse manure pervaded the area. We looked to our left and saw the horse stables. The entrance showed deferred maintenance and dust and dirt. The halls resembled a run down college dormitory and smelled musty. Our room was reminiscent of a Hotel 6. A big disappointment for the high price we paid. They...

We stayed at the Ranch at Furnace Creek for 3 nights between Christmas and New Years. It was great and we loved it, but I give it only 3 stars as it is totally overpriced for the quality of the resort. We stayed at the ranch as it is one of the only options for hotels in Death Valley. Staying...

Drive up roadway to park or use Valet service if no parking found Decided to see the Inn. Inn located just above sea level. Broken elevator from bottom makes Inn not ADA acceptable. Stairs and more Stairs. Not being maintained. Very expensive to stay and eat. Great views. Staff was friendly to talk to, reservation for meals should be made...

There is not really a choice of places to stay in Death Valley, either the Inn or very small cottages in the Ranch at Furnace Creek. Positives for the Inn: location, location, location. The negatives: very antiquated, needs refurbishing, restaurant is poor at best led by the manager , very expensive. Besides the location the staff seems to care and...
