Not to be confused by the expensive big brother inn - the ranch was made of nice 1930s bungalows - basic bed and bath. this is not a luxury resort - think middle of the road, just a place to wash up and sleep in heated/air conditioned comfort and then you spend all day exploring Death valley. the rooms are...

We spent one night in the Ranch on our way through Death Valley. Death Valley itself was absolutely breath-taking, especially as we had no idea what to expect. The Ranch is well located and the rooms were perfectly acceptable. You are a bit limited for places to eat in Death Valley(!) but there are three choices at the Ranch, which...

We were visiting Death Valley, so needed a hotel there. It looks attractive, and the pool was lovely- large and heated by hot springs. The room, though, was a bit dowdy, and there was a large wet patch on the floor (which we reported, but no-one appeared much interested). The bathroom was dark, especially in the tub when the curtain...

We had a wonderful time again at the Furnace Creek Inn! The rooms are extremely comfortable and some of these overlook a beautiful spring-fed oasis with lots of palm trees (see my photo). The food and service are incredible, which is even more remarkable since the resort is in the middle of a vast desert the size of Connecticut. As...

It was a lovely place with a lovely staff and good food in its restaurant. But it was not a $350/night property, which is was what we paid. The breakfast menu charged $15 for an omelette. We decided the next morning to head down to the very basic little country cafe at the ranch to try to save some dough....

It was amazingly convenient to have a comfortable place to stay overnight in a place like this. Not luxury, but clean and well-kept. Even a full-service restaurant. Check into the Inn for a step-up of luxury.

We stayed in the RV park for 2 nights, fabulous setting, warm spring fed pool and play ground for the kids, helpful staff, general store well stocked, lots of eating options, museum and mule rides, fast Internet but no cell-phone coverage (pretty much applies to all the national park).

We stayed at the Ranch Resort, a real oasis in the Valley. Our cabin was just great, fast WiFi, very comfortable bed, a fridge and silent air con. The staff at the office were all smiles and very helpful when we checked in and the cleaning staff were great people. The resort has no shortage of places to eat and...

Clean, well-lit room. Not really a saloon environment, but a very clean bar that is appropriate for families. Although not on the menu, we requested a BLT for my daughter. It was VERY good - they did not skimp at all. The burger and salad my husband and I shared was also very good. The service was great! Tracy (from...
