My wife and I stayed at the Ranch (and not the Inn), which is less expensive and less luxurious than the Inn. The staff were friendly, and the nearby restaurant were good. Be prepared for 110F temperatures throughout the Valley. I would recommend a visit to the Borax Museum. We were fortunate and met a curator who probably knows more...

HEAT in the wallet, since they have a monopoly, Xanterra can charge any price they want, and they do!!! They can do this even though it is a National Park, because the property is private and was there before Death Valley became a National Park.Yes we knew going in what the price was going to be, but we thought there...

I've stayed in the Furnace Creek Ranch twice. Each time I have enjoyed my stay. Next time I return I'll be staying here again. Staff are polite and very helpful. Hotel rooms are somewhat dated but still nice and clean. Choices of available restaurants are good. At least one night I will have a ribeye at the steak house. Hasn't...

Our double room at Furnace Creek Ranch was fine. We were on the first floor, so it came with a small patio that looked out towards the golf course. The comfy rocking chairs on the patio were a nice touch, although one was in pretty rough shape. The beds were comfortable, with enough pillows and the AC worked OK (although...

This is the pinnacle of desert living. Furnace Creek Inn is worth staying at for at least one night to pamper yourself before returning to the concrete jungle. Death Valley is a wonderful place to camp and hike. After several days of hot dry dust and majestic star filled nights there is no better way to finish off your trip...

Wow! We stayed here for one night on a USA road trip and I absolutely loved it. The location was incredible, right in the middle of Death Valley and with a beautiful pool just 2 minutes walk from the cabin. The accommodation was basic but good enough. I didnt particularly like the cowboy BBQ in the evening but the rest...

After the miles covered that day to arrive at Furnace Creek and find a superb resting place was bliss.Rooms provide all you need, swimming pool is sublime, eating out at the grill ok for a good steak etc.Amazed to find a golf course in the middle of the desert, and a pool fed from hot springs, you will not be disappointed if staying here.

As someone here has said, these two hotels need to be seen separately. The 1927 gem that is the Inn is luxury personified. The Ranch down the hill is pretty ordinary downhome cowpoke stuff with a saloon and joints selling burgers. Up here on the hill the dining and rooms are first class. You feel the ghosts of bygone greats....

I have ridden through Death Valley several times on my motorcycle but never with an overnight stay until now. We stayed at the Furnace Creek Ranch (not the Inn) in a cabin as opposed to the hotel. The cabin was at the end of the drive and I was able to park my motorcycle directly in front of the cabin....
