Great location, walking distance to the Visitor Center. Relatively close to the bathrooms (which were very clean) but the bathrooms are up a STEEP hill. This site had less shade than 14 and 15. Loops C and D were no generators. Sites 60 and 61...More

Six months ahead we reserved a site in Loop A for three nights for our 30ft RV. We found it hard to choose a suitable site online and on arrival we were disappointed to find our site was not as expected, the sites in this...More

You can't beat the proximity to the canyon, this campground is just at the top of the canyon rim. We walked right out of the back of our campsite, up a small hill and right onto the rim trail which leads you to all the...More

Any comments on insects/spiders when tent camping? I think mosquitoes likely won't be a problem (especially in the freezing temps of November) but any run-ins with spiders or other scary things like scorpions??

We didn't see anything. There are no mosquitoes, either. Good luck!

I'll be arriving around 11 am in early October. How difficult is it to get a tent campsite at that time of year? Thanks!

We were there during the summer, but we got a spot arriving around that time. They said they barely ever "sell out." You should be fine!!
