My companion and I camped at Cedar Pass one night to check out the Badlands and were treated to a night of falling stars and the Milky Way with the mystical Badlands as a perfect setting. I would suggest that you reserve a site on the outside of one of loops so you get a clear view of the scenery.... More

I liked the campground, very convenient location to the campground store and visitor center. The bathrooms very not ideal but you are at a campground. Make sure to reserve in the summer, all of th camping sites were full when we went. That being said there was not a lot of privacy.

We stayed 2 nights - the first night we got in was a Sunday and the regular sites were all booked. We were able to find a space in the overflow / group area, which was a ways from facilities, but it got the job done. The rangers came around after dark to warn everyone that storms with 70 mile... We stayed here one night on our way to Glacier. This was a beautiful setting for a campground, wish we could have stayed longer. It was awesome watching the sun come up in the Badlands. It was nice it was only about 5 miles in from the park entrance. It is right down the road from a nice gift shop... More

We spent two days here and completely enjoyed ourselves. The campground was well maintained with refreshing showers. The picnic tables were shaded and that was a great help. We enjoyed the ranger program on the night sky. There is a dump station nearby with a small grocery store near by. Ice is available in the gift shop.

I would not stay in this campground again. This is a very, very small campground of just 41 sites all crammed together. There is a permanent fire ban and no fire pits. Coin-operated shower; I paid 75 cents for 6 minutes which was plenty of time if you don't have to wash your hair. For some unknown reason, there are... More

Gorgeous views, warm showers, and the evening presentations by park rangers are awesome! There are water fountains around, too. Bathrooms were a little messy, but other than that this was a great, cheap place to stay!

Our family of 5 tented here for two nights in the heat of the summer. Parking is separated from grassy tent sites. Each site has a picnic table anchored on a concrete pad with a wood and steel shade canopy. Bathrooms are basic with no towel/clothes hooks. Showers are coin operated. There is a nice, commercial-grade, double sink available for... More

I ended up staying here by myself on the way between Colorado and Minnesota. The campground was pretty full for the middle of the week when the temps had hit 106 that day. I was in site 1, which had great views and was far enough from everyone. Next time, I'll try get sites 26 or 41 for the views.... More

Camping in the Badlands offers the opportunity to experience the incredible scenery at sunset and first light. That being said it tends to be hot in the summer. There is minimal shad, although the picnic tables have a wooden shade built over them. The bathrooms www clean and had running water and flush toilets. No fire pits due to high... More
