We stayed in suite 2 of the lodges from the 6th March for four nights. The lodges was large, with a huge bed and veranda with a plunge pool. There is no tv (not an issue for us) and no wifi until you get into the main lodge. The reserve is about a two hour drive from Port Elizabeth airport....

We stayed at Ukozi Lodge for 5 nights and 9 drives and I can say that experience totally exceeded our expectations. We were lucky to have Rosie as a guide. So knowledgeable and able to cope with anything or any questions. Luck is when Planning meets opportunity and seeing the big five in the first two days tells me a...

Spent three nights here, and loved it all. After a stay in a beautiful hotel, this is completely rustic, but nonetheless no issues. The staff are all lovely, nothing is too much trouble. If you are not happy with something, just ask, it will be provided within minutes. The plunge pools are cold, but the main pool is fine. The...

Spent 3 wonderful days on the Eastern Cape at the Kariega Game Reserve staying at one of the Ukhozi lodges. First time on safari and I would suggest a reserve such as this is the perfect introduction to safari - guaranteed to see big game yet also benefit from some luxurious surroundings. Our guide for the 3 days was Rosie...

We stayed 3 night and had 6 game drives. We were lucky and managed to hit a few dry warm days between rain - just the luck of the draw, but beware it does rain in February. Big room, with a fabulous view from the deck which is set high up on a plateau. We wished we'd brought binoculars. Better...

We spent four nights here visiting the Game Reserve. Lovely spacious accomodation with great food and service. Not many places have staff that can also provide great African singing. The view from the rooms is superb and the beds very large and comfortable. The food, wine and and the solicitous service first rate even if it was difficult to avoid...

Juan was our guide who was amazing and fun throughout. We stayed in the Ukhozi lodge which was lovely and spacious with fab views of grounds. The lodge...

Marvellous to see so many animals, some very close indeed!! Although we were there at high summer - it was still pretty cold on the game drive - the blankets & waterproofs were worn! I even wore my London layers - warm cardigan & puffa jacket. So nice to come back to the roaring log fire & excellent food &...

Must pay the highest compliments to the Kariega Ukhozi Lodge team. We have just completed 3 days there and loved every minute. The food was superb. The staff were excellent. The setting is stunning. Our guide Gladman (The G Man to us) was brilliant. Knowledgeable, charming and witty. The highlight was undoubtedly a night drive with Gladman. We stumbled across...

The lodge is in the middle of the game reserve. The ukhozi lodges are very roomy and beautiful. My brother and I felt very well in there. Corresponding to the accommodation we had several game drives with steph. She is a really good guide. We saw 4 of the big 5. The staff was very nice all the time. 4/5...
