The Tayside Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area in the village of Stanley, about 6 miles/20 minute drive from Perth town centre. It is a grand Victorian building with approximately 14 rooms. Decoration throughout is in keeping with the period features and the rooms are warm, clean and cosy. There is a bar/restaurant on the ground floor where... More

Well, we live in the village so this Hotel and restaurant are important to us. Staff were well overworked but do you know what , they handled it really well. The restaurant business is a tough world now with the new licensing laws in Scotland and the continuous rise in the basic wage with no corresponding reduction in taxation for... More

I booked a family room for my wife and two daughter and the price was great. The family room was excellent with everything you needed with lots of space and proper beds. This hotel oozed old world charm and character and what a pleasure to have a proper cooked to order breakfast, porridge and kippers... lovely.

Just home after a wonderful 4 night stay, the owners and ALL the staff were so helpful and friendly, couldn't do enough to make me and my wee dog feel welcome. The breakfast menu was so varied, a great choice and ALL food cooked to order. The bar meals were delicious and again cooked to order. A typical old Scottish... More

This was a last minute find on our way north. We had twin and double both very well furnished, clean, roomy and comfortable with a few little extra touches of tissues and bottled water. Added bonus is they take dogs. There is a great walk too from the bottom of the road about half mile and it brings you back... More

A traditional Scottish hotel which has been updated . The staff are very helpful and friendly which gives a good overall atmosphere . The facilities are good for this type of hotel . The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced , it gets busy at the weekends so it would be advisable to book ahead for a table .

After a long journey north stopped for an evening meal that we pre booked. This was our 12th visit here and the meal and service here is first class, a good selection of food, all freshly cooked and very tasty. The service from the waitress was excellent. Highly recommend 👍👍

Spent an unscheduled night here because quite honestly we couldn't get in anywhere else (bank holiday) and Tayside had a cancellation giving us a family room (only 2 of us) for a bargain rate. Think Olde Worlde traditional Scottish (had to climb two full flights of stairs with only a bath not a shower) but loved (nearly!) the whole thing.... More

Stayed for the week on a fishing trip. The rooms are very comfortable and you are made to feel at home from the moment you arrive. A varied dinner menu is available and the staff are very flexible so if you want something extra with your meal (try the haggis) just ask and they will do their best for you.... More
